2025 Israel vs Iran War

The Shin Bet intelligence agency has launched a major security operation to protect Israeli airlines and aircraft in Europe following intelligence that Iran is planning to target them, reported

.

Israeli security officials have also identified Iranian efforts to attack Israeli and Jewish sites in Europe, including embassies.

In response, the Shin Bet has launched a large-scale security operation across the continent, deploying advanced defense systems and reinforcing personnel to protect Israeli and Jewish targets.

These threats emerge as Israel begins Operation "Safe Return," aimed at repatriating around 100,000 Israelis, with a strong focus on ensuring the safety of passengers, flight crews, and aircraft throughout the process.

Well by that logic, all Israelis are legitimate targets since they have all served in the IDF.
How do you even come to this conclusion? "If scientists working on a nuclear weapons project are legitimate targets, then all Israelis are legitimate targets because they served a conscription stint in the IDF!"

That is a supremely bizarre point of view.

I'm not even arguing that Israel assassinating scientists is legal or moral, I'm just baffled at why you think it's okay to shoot literally any adult Israeli merely because they did a (legally required) conscription stint.

I saw german politicians claim that Iran is a threat to Europe but then i remembered the friendly soccer match between germany and iran in teheran in 2004 and Iranians reaction to the german national anthem

The World Health Organization (WHO) reported in May 2024 that 33 of 36 hospitals were damaged or destroyed, but this is attributed to Israeli airstrikes, raids, and sieges, not necessarily tunnels.
They’ve been saying that all schools and hospitals have been destroyed basically since the beginning of the war in 2023, just like how every fat person in Gaza has been on the brink of imminent starvation for two years but magically hasn’t lost weight or died. And how they’ve only had a week’s worth of gas left for two years. A miracle

What's the rationale for pushing the US to enter Iran when the Israelis seem to be doing fine on their own? Not to praise the nosebergs but it's not like Iran has any major offensive options left.
The US has bunker buster bombs that can reach underground facilities like Fordow

israeli here:

the problem isnt the bunker busters, it's that we dont have any planes that can carry them

although in theory we could place an MOP on a C-130 and use it as a poor man's B-52

its not like their air defence can do anything lmao

(idk why we arent doing this)

If a world event affects me personally or my immediate surroundings in a way that I can clearly recognize and feel, then it is a "happening". The problem with all of these geopolitical events is that they don't affect me or my country in a first-order direct way, therefore "nothing ever happens" because the birds are still chirping in my backyard, children are still playing in the park, etc. It's all news headlines and clickbaiting to drive more engagement to me. I know it sounds selfish, but frankly I do not care.
IMO there’s nothing wrong with not caring about something that doesn’t personally affect you, but if that’s your perspective why do some of you come to this thread and shit it up with the same annoying memes over and over again?

It is possible that metro is not built to the same standards as soviet metros which were also meant as bomb shelters.
There's a reason behind that decision.
If bombs are dropping, a man-made underground tunnel is nearly always safer than staying in the streets. The Iranian metros would have to be extremely shitty and unsafe for that not to be the case. If the tunnels are so structurally unsound that bombs not specifically targeted at ruining underground structures might collapse them, then I wouldn’t trust them to hold up to trains constantly running.

Israel doesn't have any GBU-57s which are what you'd need to hope to reach Fordow. The C-130 can launch the smaller & smarter GBU-37s, but not the the 57.

There's no precedent, and the MOP isn't designed to be deployed from a C-130, so they would have to nigger rig something to make it happen. There's also the issue that dropping it from a C-130, even if it is possible, may significantly reduce the ability to penetrate the ground. The B-2 flies a lot higher and faster than the C-130, so if a C-130 performs the mission, the MOP will likely have significantly less energy behind it than if deployed from a B-2.

There's also the issue that Israel does not have any MOPs or similar weapons.

A kamikaze drone was destroyed in the Shahr-e Rey district, south of Tehran, and a mini drone was brought down near the Tehran Oil Refinery, the local Mehr News Agency reported, citing an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) statement.

Reports claim another assassination attempt just now in Tehran’s Gisha neighborhood — an apartment in a residential building was attacked.

A wave of Israeli Air Force strikes this morning destroyed some 35 missile launchers and storage sites in Iran's Tabriz and Kermanshah, the military says. The IDF says 25 fighter jets were involved in the strikes, during which "more than 35 infrastructure for the storage and launching of missiles" were hit.
