The autistic reason I would like to know exactly when that godawful polish was last applied to Chantal's toenails, is that it seems to me that her nails are growing extremely slowly. The poorer your circulation, the slower your nails grow. That nail polish is like tree rings and may help assess her circulatory health. Of course, if she cared about her health, she would have a Primary, who would refer her for a doppler ultrasound.

That nail Polish was applied by Nat last time she was in Canada.

In general, it takes about half a year for a nail to grow from appearance at the cuticle to the outer most tip of the nail bed. This rate of growth is influenced by a boat load of factors though. Circulation is only one of them. There's also general health, med use, diet, or outside forces. In the case of fingers, think of someone who plays piano professionally. In case of toe nails, think of perhaps wearing shoes that are just a smidge too small constantly.
TL;DR: Her nails can tell us a thing or 2, or 20. Circulation is just one of them, and perhaps not even the most significant contributor.
