Hot take: Libertarians who think the government should protect them from a corporation/business potentially defrauding them are not true libertarians.
To add to this, my main problem is with
globalist libertarians because they ignore the fact that the only reason international trade is viable is because of the USA's interference in all this shit which is funded by US taxpayers, our resources, claims on our assets, and our very blood.
Throughout history the main thing that made trading across nations difficult was security grantees, whether it was a wagon running from Egypt to Greece in 500 BC or a ship going from India to Britain during the colonial age, pirates, bad state actors, storms, or the risk of the host country being invaded/shitting itself made it extremely risky to diversify your supply chain beyond your borders.
The only reason India and China are so able to focus on mass producing cheap shit is because
-The US navy makes shipping risk free and affordable
-US military dominance prevented their neighbors from fucking them in the ass as was the norm in hitsory
-Western countries provide a safe haven for their assetts since our culture isn't run by snakes and chimps
-All of the above also enables
food to be moved places that grow it to the places that are overpopulated and not culturally capable of managing their own food production.
Without all of those things, no country would have been able to viably move their entire industry to the other side of the world. So libertarians who think "india just does it better" can fuck off because
we don't live in a libertarian free market world order, we live in one that is being subsidized by American and to a lesser extent European civilization, stability, tax dollars, military, education, and so on.
