Plagued /r/TNOmod and the Reddit HOI4 modding community - When a subreddit for a video game mod turns to utter insanity

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Based. That's a good path, try going with the pan-European guy next time, he's also quite the schizo. Although you can get the extra schizo path if you choose to remain a military dictatorship and max out petainist support
Thanks. I downloaded the country path guide submod but shit didn't load for me. Is there a way to release nations because I have Commie Spain on the south of my border and want to remove it as a potential threat.

I disapprove the way to get a fun eccentric path is through losing a war. In TNO going down George Wallace path to become the US president, requires you to do nothing such as not sending troops to Guyana and purposely dragging the South African war long enough to lose Republican-Democrat support.

Its HOI4 dammit! You're suppose to win.
The problem is not losing, it's that there's no real strategy or fun involved in losing. If the AI was competent and the war meaningfully engaging, there'd be no problem in losing.

But this is HoI4, whose playerbase consists of people who think VNs are grand strategy and can't fathom the concept of a game system that you can meaningfully learn from through a loss.
I dislike political choices being placed out of the player's hands more than paths being locked behind a loss which can be recovered from. It forces the player to abuse country path selectors so Russia doesn't take the wrong path and force a restart. Makes the game events "unnatural" as opposed to being the results of random ai chaos.

That is my two cents, though all in all it's not a big deal.

Screenshotted two special events during the Gunther path.

Very wholesome of Gunther. ❤️

Event possibly referencing @Sooty Soot in parallel universe?

My two cents is that there should be an option to enable the paths without having to lose the wars like leaving you a even to choose which path you want, just like in the US after you decide which faction you are going to be,but i think is harder to implement it that it seems.
Also since the oast shenanigans i should be thankfull to God that TFR didn´t became TNO 2.0
People learn and change from others mistakes then.

I was roped into the military coup and chose to work with some fascist guy named Yvan something. Germany is led by some Radenfuhrer or some shit so I'm expecting a war between us in the near future.
After you defeat Russia you can trigger the 3rd European war as France or Germany for shits and giggles.

Anyone try out the new US update for Kaiserreich seems like they're just changing things for the sake of changing them at this stage. They're also not even trying to hide their syndie bias anymore with the amount of attention the CSA got in this update.
I haven’t played base Kaiserreich since the Germany update. The writing was really on the wall with that one, now all I play Kaiserredux.

Last thing I remember KR doing with the US was changing Long Dongs political alignment, which seemed to make no one happy.

I haven't touched Kaiserreich in years and no amount of curiosity will make me boot it up. Redux has far more fun and crazy schizo paths to enjoy and you can even still elect Long if you avoid the Civil War anyways.

How do you elect Long in Kaiserredux without the Civil War?
