Alright, I am asking for assistance. Does anyone know of any bands or albums similar to Aviations? I have heard their music described as post-metal, or art-rock. I absolutely love their album Luminaria, and am really trying to find any music that sounds like these guys.

I'd describe Aviations as djent or post-hardcore before post-metal.
Dunno if any of that's your speed.
 
Does anyone know why Spencer Prewett quit Archspire? I like them and I don't think they've discussed any details.

Edit: Just saw that there are two more new releases on Horrible Room.

Леший, who are also involved in the split above, released a new album

And it looks there is a whole new band around, Вельд.


Edit2: After listening to the albums, the Леший is more like a Black Metal accoustic album and the Вельд album sounds like Леший usually sound. The Вельд is so fucking good, AOTY material even in my books.

How popular is Martyr among metal fans? Canada (especially Quebec) has some really damn good bands. The part at 1:47 is absolute gold.

Mongrain's one of my favorite guitarists. Most impressive resume in metal? Voivod and Gorguts...Jesus Christ. This fucking rules:

But Martyr's not very interesting. He plays cool shit the whole time, but their "failure mode" is funk (like all schooled metal guys) and their recordings sound unbelievably bad, not even homemade-on-a-laptop quality. They should play their fucking songs.
 
So my band played a gig last night, it was a pretty good turnout and the bands were great. Without power leveling too much, one of the bands liked our shit and said we sound kinda like Machine head but more thrash. It was more of a hardcore bill, but anyway this one band hit the crowd with "fuck blonald Blumf!" and "Fuck Ice" etc. Good music but I really hate a lot of these cringy-ass people in this scene sometimes. I was talking to my bassist and we were joking how funny it would be lean into the lefty schtick and say shit like: "kill the Boer" or " Free Palestine and gas the Jews!" Anyone else have experience or dealt with something similar?
