The question now is if this escalates or not. The Iranians now have no incentive to hold back, assuming they have anything left in the tank(maybe?). Trump's political legacy is now...basically over.

I had hoped it would not come to this, but I never denied the doomsayers and "Zion Don" shouting.

The US did bomb the Syrian government in 2017. So IDK.
Trump also bombed an Iranian general in 2020.

China still wants to take over the US, but they became smart and antagonize us on economic, and military issues. Iran is like the nigger who wants shoots someone because they don't like them while China is the nemesis who gets creative and plays the long game while still improving their country and advancing. Iran is hugely falling behind in the world in infrastructure and quality of life. They alienated the entire world while China courted it.

Considering China imports much of their oil from Iran, I imagine it's not too different from the US putting up with Saudi's nonsense while we were dependent on them.

The problem is, first and foremost there is no force that can overthrow the Iranian government, even if you want regime change. No opposition group or power bloc meaningfully exists in the country.

Which is why israel was so desperate for an operation Iranian freedom in the 2000s. Mobilizing public support for a ground invasion now is impossible(at least I think it should be).

I am honestly at a loss for prognostication-the iranians don't have any real means to retaliate, and the Israelis would love to take down their last true enemy in the region.

Give it to me straight KiwiBros, are we gonna die because of Israel?

No.

The nuclear threat is gone. If you thought Afghanistan was a bad idea to invade, then Iran is 10x worse. Its geographically protected by deserts and mountains, a death sentence to send troops in. We live in the age of drones, theres no need to send in tons of troops anymore.
