Only one good post on here so far really that we probably had damn good intel that they were prepping final building/no yield testing. Before October 7th, the Netanyahu government was on the verge of collapse. There were protests from 2020 - 2023 against his coalition. His opposition - a moderate who supported a two state solution was rapidly gaining public support.

If you are telling me the same intelligence service who can plant explosives in pagers, assassinate senior military leadership in a decapitation strike, and infiltrate the nuclear program of a foreign country couldn't possibly determine that a bunch of ragheads on paramotors were about to target Israeli civilians, what do you think that means?

Iran is no closer to a nuclear weapon then they were 30 years ago - about the same time they were "a week away" from building one.



The only difference now is that the geopolitical landscape is far more favorable for Israel. Hamas and Hezbollah are severely weakened. Assad has been ousted from Syria. Russia no longer has any presence in the region with the loss of the Tartus naval base, and is far too preoccupied with the Ukraine conflict. And with Trump in office they know they have the full backing of the US.

as we all expected: An air strike. a big one in proper Trumpian fashion. I'd be very surprised if it extends past airstrikes. to do a proper invasion will take months to prepare. and a massive surge of troops to the region. Hundreds of thousands. which has not happened.

If Iran responds, yes there will be an escalation, which WILL lead to regime change=boots on the ground. That's what we're worried about here. This is not some ragtag terrorists like ISIS. This is a government with more resources at its disposal.

He’s a spineless boomer who just goes with whatever the last guy he talked to, told him.

Ag Sec tells Trump that this is BAD they need illegals. Trump goes “OK!” And cancels raids on hotels and farmers.

Then Stephen Millers gets a meeting five days later and says: “This is BAD! We need to continue arresting illegals!” Trump goes “OK!” And reverses course.

(And what happens when Millers gets canned because the media and Dems put their sight on him like they did with numerous people close to Trump already?)

Same thing with Iran. One day Vance talks some sense into him, and it’s diplomacy. Until Graham or Bibi starts putting the screws on Trump and he swings back and starts bombing.

This doesn't get talked about enough, Trump is a very vain and shallow figure. If you know how to stroke his ego then he'll tend to bend to what you say.

That's the biggest problem of Trumpism-Trump himself. He's ultimately all illusion and flim flam. A TV star with no real moral core.

Trump just nuked any chance the GOP had of holding the house/senate in the midterms by starting another war in the ME.
75% of the MAGA base will go along with it but a lot of people are going to feel stabbed in the back by this and just not show up for him. The margins are so thin he needs every single vote to hold it and continue his domestic agenda.

The deportations are going to continue to be bogged down by the rando judges everywhere and then be all done when the Democrats retake the house and Senate.

Not even close. Have you not picked up on how time is dilated in current year? Trump has been in office for LESS THAN 6 MONTHS. Midterms are 1.5 years away and LOTS can happen in the meantime.

The amount of chaos he has brought to daily life is wonderful and terrible in its effects, but the last thing you can do is count him out of snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. In his first term, it was the opposite. The difference now is he has the popular mandate and cultural momentum.

If this does end up getting us into war, I will also see it as damning, retarded, and gay and will comfortably join in pointing to this moment as when Trumpler turned into Heisenberg. As others have said, recent history has also shown that it’s entirely possible Iran won’t do shit and will comply.

I hate that Trump has done this and is such a faggot ass tool for Kikestan. However, the public sentiment is becoming so against Israel that he will eventually have to listen. He’s willing to make unpopular decisions, and even for stupid reasons sometimes, but he does listen to the people.

Israel ultimately won't be satisfied until the Iranian government is overthrown. They cannot do this on their own-they have spy networks and connections to iranian dissidents internationally(as well as local collaborators in Iran itself), but they need the US to actually overthrow the Islamic Republic.

So it will probably be more bombings and missile volleys, but no ground war.

The Israelis though aren't going to stop-they'll either demand "mowing the grass" or the US to actually overthrow Iran-either via some sort of synthetic color revolution or (eventually) a ground war.

I think it was 1.7b and Biden eased something like 16b in sanctions on Iran. Iran was dead. Obama personally funded Iran's funding of terrorists and their nuclear program. Biden continued the trend. Trump was starting to bring the middle east to the table before ya know...2020.

I have mixed feelings on this course of action. On one hand it feels like we are being sold the same soap that got us into Iraq. On another it feels like we are doing Israel's bidding. On a foot I agree that Iran should never have nuclear weapons and if only military spots are being hit...okay....I guess as long as troops are not going in. Now we are hopping on one foot. If that gets cut off it is going to be a real problem.
