I'm hoping Israel's liberal politicians will realize that with Likud essentially controlling AIPAC, and by extension the US military, Bibi and the gang can hold onto to power indefinitely by formenting regional wars. If they form a competing lobby, perhaps by reworking Jewish Voice for Peace into something with a broader focus, Israel can be an ally instead of a trillion dollar liability.
