Plagued /r/TNOmod and the Reddit HOI4 modding community - When a subreddit for a video game mod turns to utter insanity

Yeah, there’s a lot of anime art for TFR, strangely.
I'm not sure it's that strange, the Chinese playerbase is surprisingly large, and I think the similarily large Russian base likes their anime too.

I'll take this over the made-during-recess crayon doodles of Taboritsky you can see on the TNO subreddit any day of the week.

I feel like tfr is the only mod that is jointly being developed by all parts of the HOI4 fan base I can't think of any other mod that has such a large presence of both the western Chinese and Russian communities all creating content for it I think that's why it makes it feel so fresh.

I think western men (especially younger zoomers) who play grand strategy games (read, overglorified visual novels that are easily accessible to gatcha coomers) are probably predisposed to being anime nerds in their own right, no need for a Russian anime collusion hoax.

enjoyed my dominion of india playthrough, you get to blob out pretty quick against burma and siam, then mobilize a horde of indians to reclaim the empire
Good to see Kaiserreich getting this aspect of realism right for the mod. Little known fact about the Empire is that by the late 19th-century Jeets were employed from anywhere from Hong Kong and offices in China to the West Indies as civil servants and middle management. This was so prevalent that it was even used as a divide and conquer method in Africa and parts of the Middle East under British Influence where local laborers would mostly be interacting with direct jeet overlords, not the British officials in power.
