UK British News Megathread - aka CWCissey's news thread

https://news.sky.com/story/row-over-new-greggs-vegan-sausage-rolls-heats-up-11597679

A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

I'll admit, I'm far from happy, but I can see the flip-side and do I think it will affect Reform UK's polling? No
I think you are right about polling not being affected. I had a look at Ed Davey's Twitter. he's saying the same in lockstep shit. and his followers are losing their shit at him. So there's no where to go.

But it really does show who is really in charge when no one speaks against it despite it probably being good for them.

You could even, a-la Lowe
I thought he handled it masterfully. Didn't take sides but simply focused on a popular cause resulting from it.

the kind of people who worship the ground he walks on tend to have been some of the most insufferable faggots I've ever met in my life.

Cards against Humanity is funny for the average Clyde 23, from Burton because it's the only time in their life they can actually say the things they want to say, but can't because of the social stigma. "Hehe, I've said brown people are the scourge of humanity" etc.

It's just shockingly vanilla to people who have did their time on the early 00s internet where absolutely anything went, or people who have zero issues saying the things they want to say without fear of social stigma.

The average quip on here is funnier than the absolute peak that comes from a game of Cards against Humanity.

No need to glaze Israel or "stand by" any dubious "allies". It's purely about the protection and security of the British Isles and would fit neatly into a policy of focusing first on the needs of Great Britain over anything foreign. You could even, a-la Lowe, roll it into an urgent policy of expulsion of potential terrorists and their ideological compatriots, as well as a more general policy of repatriation of anyone from those areas as a matter of national security.
If you want money in politics you lick Israel's balls and say it tastes like honey. Farage has a history of Jewish backers and he will do as he's told.
It's absolutely riddled with noncery, but it's a hidden cadre within the institution, rather than the entire thing. They induct members into their secret groups with the promise of greater institutional power and wealth, and all the boipussy they desire, under the requirement of having to keep it all secret and protect one another from outsiders, lest they be outed and destroyed. The wider institution, parasitised as it is, acts in their interests without necessarily understanding its own actions, because they have pull within it.
I knew the daughter of a BBC producer growing up. She was pimped out to musicians and other celebrities when it was convenient. Kids told they're going to meet a big pop star and ends up seduced and used by them. The BBC secret group isn't secret to any one within the industry. It's as easy to get child prostitutes as cocaine when you have a handler.

What we need to ask is what does Israel/Netanyahu have over Trump/USA and Starmer/UK?

I know it sounds obvious, but my personal conclusions have ended up at the standard antisemtic conspiracy tropes. control of finance, banking, tech. Power is handed only to be who are compromised. Don't know what the particulars are on each but I bet they have it.

I spent a couple of decades looking at conspiracy stuff, who owns what, who is in which groups, which supra government bodies, who came up with what ideas etc. And man, the stuff that is related to the conspiracy, it's just so wildly out of proportion Jewish or married to one, or has some other connection, its crazy.

They probably have enough shit on enough people that they couldn't just bring down starmer, they could probably bring down the whole edifice of the entirety of our governmental system and plunge us into a full-on purge style revolution.

I do'nt want to reveal too much but i've seen people go into positions in politics and suddenly change. start doing stuff and arguing stuff I would never have imagined. and just hand waving off any attempts to push back. like they suddenly just were party line people.

I don't believe in Jewish prophecies. But I believe they do and they influence what they are doing. And I believe secular Zionism is a smokescreen so people don't realies it is just religious Judaism.

What we need to ask is what does Israel/Netanyahu have over Trump/USA and Starmer/UK?
America = De-facto leader of NATO, largest military, loves Israel (politically).
UK = Loves America (politically) ergo must love Israel too (explains Starmer).
European right-wing = optics issue (right-wing = nationalist/nation first = anti-any-other-country = anti-Israel = anti-Jewish = Nazi) = must love Israel to dismiss Nazi connotations

Israel is a middle eastern shithole being propped up by America due to AIPAC (created due to Israeli optics shit as a result of the Qibya massacre, attained influence during Yom Kippur war) which trickles down into their allies politics because being nice to Israel means you're on America's side and supporting their foreign policy. It's just brain-dead, America-fluffing.

Attinbrough being a nonce would be groundbreaking because of how he's curated his image over the past 30 years based on wildlife and ecosystem documentaries. Not only would it be an excellent cover as he could frame his accusers as global warming sceptics, but it'd allow him to do the very thing Saville did and have access to a lot of vulnerable adults to prey on.

But I get the feeling if it WAS him then the BBC is completely over, Saville and Edwards are bad enough, but when you hear the rumours of Matt Lucas, David Walliams, David Jason etc. not even including the possibility of a new person like Attinbrough then it's clear that there's a very big problem bubbling from within. Institutional paedophilia from a service that bullies you to pay for the TV licence and demands that you pay it if you're streaming Netflix.
On Tattle, British institution "DA" has been talked about for at least the last few years as someone who is being covered up for. I don't read that site often, but whenever I do, DA seems to be being talked about.

Doing some snooping and a guy who worked with DA on some documentaries was jailed for 10 years for abusing and molesting a shitload of animals.

Seems incredibly suspicious.

I don't understand why people persist with this ahistorical bullshit. The man who had an entire african SS legion, who wanted to depopulate Germany entirely and turn it into a nature park, who admired Islam and wished Charles Martel had lost at Tours, and who was more than happy to have doctors from Hirshfield's "institute for sexology" continue to work for the German state after it was closed down, this is the man you prop up as some saviour of the west. Hitler winning wouldn't have improved anything we're experiencing, and would arguably have made things worse, by giving Germany control over Britain's Imperial possessions and making us subservient to a foreign power, run by a man from a culture known for several centuries for its perverse sexual desires and an obsession with shit.
Ah yes, rebut ahistorical bullshit with one's own ahistorical bullshit such as unconfirmed quotes about Islam or a non-existent SS unit (the closest you'd get is the Turkestan Legion and they were primarily used for fighting against the Soviets). Also see the sterilisation of the Rhineland Bastards. You can say that you dislike Hitler without making up your own bullshit.

In-fact Hitler's conflict with Gregor Strasser was not due to Economics but in fact primarily due to the latter's request to join an Anti-Colonial, Anti-British league, because Hitler did not want to join a "league of the oppressed" of what he saw as various subhumans against the "Nordic Briton." (Source; Simms, Hitler: A Global Biography.)

If you want to dislike Hitler, that's perfectly fine, but don't make shit up in your crusade against anyone who says otherwise.

Could be why the BBC was running Tattle founder unmasking as front page news recently, they never seemd to care about bowing down to Ofcom like Null. There has been a concerted effort in the courts to unmask the owner of Tattle for a while now and 'they' have succeeded. Not really front page news worthy since I think you could ask 100 people in the street what Tattle is and maybe get, 1 or 2 who have heard of it.

No budget for assisted dying service, Streeting says

Looks like there might be division in the cabinet, this time with the health minister. Saying there's no budget within the NHS (which makes sense because they don't have the budget for anything these days) so I suspect it will be private companies providing the service. I would be surprised if anyone actually starts up a service since the first occasion will probably be subjected to a legal battle and who is going to want to go through that ?

The old 'pillow over grandma's face' method has worked for years and i don't see that changing anytime soon. I hate everything about this change in law.

Attenborough, I agree, would be a step too far.

There are always names being dropped about who is/might be a nonce and I've heard more than one mention of the following:

Ant & Dec, Jason Manford, Paddy McGuinness, Ruth Jones, Jon Sopel, Emily Maitlis, Robert Peston, Davina McCall and Jon Snow (from Channel 4).

Now, I have to say they are innocent until proven guilty, but I can easily believe that any of them could be what Adrian Allen calls 'wrong 'uns'.

You could look up the people pushing mass immigration and see their ethnicity. It's not a loose tether of connections.
I know the connection between Jews and their pushing of certain ideas and ideologies that ultimately erode a nation (In other threads I've gone over the "Marxism to Post-structuralism to trannies" before, so it's not like I don't see all the names).

My main contention is that there's a difference between espousing shit (what Jews tend to do since their only ideological lynchpins are either Marxism and Zionism) and eating it up and carrying it out. Maybe I can blame Jews for creating the ideologies and economic arguments that justify mass migration from the politicians, but I'd rather not absolve every other group who played a hand in facilitating such conditions either. My main disagreement regarding jews is - in Europe at least - the true extent of their control over the political system and economy, because giving them near-omnipotence in regard to this makes any attempt to "fight back" a pointless endeavour, especially if any time the right-wing achieves anything it's because they've "been allowed to", where I can't see it as anything else than just another form of the blackpill that'll eventually lead someone to concluding everything's pointless and nothing can be done in the face of such an insurmountable enemy.

Jews themselves are inclined to pro-immigration ideologies since that's basically their entire history after the fall of Rome, moving all over the place as gypsies and regarded the same as we do gypsies today. A jew in 2025 in America or some shit knows that their ancestors immigrated there and don't view themselves as natives (as a result of Israel's existence) so they'll naturally be supportive of immigration in concept because they attribute their being to it. You get outliers, obviously, as you do with everyone, but the existence of minority shouldn't have you exclude the whole, but I digress.

Zionism itself was contentious during its popularisation (1890s) because according to Jews, only the messiah can revive Israel, so the entire opus for the creation of the modern state was political, not religious; many Jews were also completely aware that supporting it would undermine their loyalty to their host nation and effectively prevent assimilation. How it got popular is a whole other thing (Britain had a hand in it admittedly, the Balfour Declaration being a cynical ploy to get American Zionists to lean on their politicians to enter the war, done for the same reason Sykes-Picot were: to win a war we were losing; Britain sponsoring the Zionist cause legitimised it.) Immigrant Jews tend to be Leftist whilst citizen-Jews (Jews born to native-born Jews) can lean either Zionist or Marxist, with Zionism being more of a modifier to whatever political ideology they happen to be (Ben Shapiro would be a conservative Zionist whilst Ethan Klein (h3h3) would be a liberal Zionist).

That won't be the only 'new hole' in Labour's 2025 budget as Social Care will now be under-funded as well as Drugs and Alcohol rehabilitation leading to more arrests and more Prison cells having to be used when there's currently a chronic shortage.

Disability funds also being halved or axed completely is going to be the thing which causes the final splits.

Here we see a short, ugly man with his penis inside a puppy's butthole. He has been practicing this mating ritual since half past three. He will continue it until half past seven when I will take his place. This unusual pattern of behaviour leads to many prison sentences and Kero the wolf fanclub memberships.

Tattle is being used as propaganda to prime the public for internet IDs. They're cunts slagging each other off online and easy to bring lawsuits against until someone says we need internet IDs to prevent it.

Old article but given it's a trans Green MP who hasn't yet been posted on the Farms behaving mad in public wanted to get the archive up before the meltdown goes nuclear.

An investigation into a councillor accused of shouting "Nazis" at a group of women has ended in farce after finding no rules were breached... because the politician was "not acting as a councillor at the time".

Norwich City Council has announced Charlie Caine, who represents the Greens, will face no action over claims he yelled the abuse at the group holding a silent vigil in front of the Forum for women and children in Afghanistan.
The women lodged an official complaint with City Hall on February 4, following the incident, having been urged to do so by the councillor when they objected to the shouting.

But after a five-week probe the authority has issued a two-line statement to say there had been no breach because the councillor was not on official business.

A spokesman said: "We sought an independent legal expert to carry out the investigation on our behalf.
"After carefully assessing all the available information, the independent legal expert confirmed there was no breach of the councillor code of conduct as this person was not acting in his role as a councillor at the time."
The conclusion has been criticised by the women, from the Norwich Women's Rights Group (NWRG), who have described it as "flawed".
A spokeswoman said: "The judgement relies on the surprising claim that such disgraceful public behaviour by someone who is well-known to all of us to be a city councillor for the Green Party, and who even invited a witness to report the harassment to the city council, is of no relevance to the councillor's position or to the city council's interest in such shocking public conduct.
"We believe the conclusion to be flawed - but in any case, it is irrelevant, as there can be no doubt that the shameful behaviour of councillor Caine at our vigil and in subsequent actions relating to it has, in practice, brought Norwich City Council and the Norwich Green Party into public disrepute."

The group believe they were targeted at the vigil because they have previously raised concerns about the impact of trans ideology on women and girls, although they have stressed the event was not related to this issue.
The councillor is a transman, the term for someone who is born female but identifies as male, and has publicly opposed the group in the past.
The women also reported the incident to police, which concluded no crime had been committed but said "words of advice" had been given to the councillor.
While the NWRG is frustrated by the conclusion of the council probe, it believes it validates their members' account of the incident.
The spokeswoman added: "We recognise that the councillor has now admitted this behaviour both to the investigating police officer - by accepting words of advice - and presumably also to the inquiry, given that the sparse report into its findings do not argue against those undoubted facts."

The authority has declined to say how much it spent on legal advice during the investigation, which was overseen by Jan Robinson, the monitoring officer who handles complaints about councillor conduct.
One attendee of the vigil added: "Apparently an elected city councillor can behave how they like outside official duties as long as they are not prosecuted - according to the response of Jan Robinson."
Lucy Galvin, leader of the Green group at City Hall, said: "The matter is settled and there is no further comment."
The councillor, who represents Mile Cross, has declined to comment.

WHEN IS A COUNCILLOR A COUNCILLOR?
The council's decision to dismiss the complaint because their member was not on "official duty" at the time of the incident raises interesting questions.
In 2021, a Broadland Council member was found to have broken its code of conduct when she "aggressively" challenged Bure Valley Railway staff during a row because she thought their maintenance work was destroying wildlife habitats.
The NWRG believe they were targeted by councillor Caine because of their political views on trans ideology.
They allege the politician approached them and yelled 'Nazis' and 'transphobes' at them at the public event near City Hall.
But the council probe ruled the councillor was attending "in a private capacity".
In its decision to reject the complaint, City Hall cited the legal precedent of Livingstone v Standards Board.
The complaint brought against then-London Mayor Ken Livingstone in 2006 related to a comment he made to a Jewish reporter, likening him to a concentration camp guard.
The case was escalated to the High Court, which ruled Mr Livingstone had not been acting in his official capacity or performing his functions as mayor at the time, meaning he could not breach the code.
