Joseph "Mang0" Marquez, one of, if not the best, Melee player of all time is under fire for getting shitfaced at a Twitch streamers' event (Beerio Kart I believe) and dry humping the back of the head of some lady named Maya. After waking up from his drunken stupor, Mang0 responded to the previous nights events of his sexual harassment of Maya with this tweet.

It's amazing how every time I look away the Melee community gets in some form of drama again ever since Hax died. I would say that none of this would have happened if they gatekept the community from troons, but their community was already so shitty to begin with.

As much as I would like to defend Mang0, this is pretty much a “straw that broke the camel’s back,” situation.

Mang0 tries to get them to turn the stream off so he can do more, and overall he’s been a well-known issue as time has gone on. He’s passed out drunk on stream, been arrested for his drunken antics on stream (earlier this year), and has already been accused of domestic abuse, and the Melee community quite literally banned together to sweep it under the rug because he’s good.

You're right in that he's too drunk but I don't think that an excuse for anything. I don't think Mang0 and Maya are that close as the only reason Mang0 was there is because he's butt buddies with Ludwig. I don't know what homosexual activities you were up to with your friends when you were a kid, but Mang0 is 33 years old. I, for one, would not take kindly to some dude I barely know dry humping the back of the my head then proceeding to hump a toadstool cap next to my face.

Just on the technicality of the matter, he is harassing her and it is sexual in nature.

Trannies and women tbh. If I remember correctly, even MilkTea was a known drama queen back in the days. Probably because of all the attention she got being a mid asian woman surrouned by sweaty autistic incels. Mang0 is a fucking retard though. I agree with other posters that is isn't the end of the world, but it still is in poor taste if he isn't that close to these two girls. He really should stop the alcohol, he's going to die from it eventually.

I agree that this is kind of overblown. As another poster said earlier, if Hax was shunned for years because of a psycho fueled video, surely Mang0 will get the boot, no?

technically accurate is the most important type of accurate.
The spirit of my message was more so that, yes, this is gay and retarded behaviour for someone who's too old to be there, but also; this is a nothing burger that only registers as a controversy amongst the socially retarded and the performatively offended.

All that aside, being a 30+ year old "professional smash bros player" is way more degenerate (or perhaps on par) than the overly drunk shirtless dude at a party.
