For starters, I don't think someone with as many issues as you clearly have is in much of a position to lecture anyone else.

But anyway, the main reason I used the phrasing I did is in relation to a point you actually reference, "If he's not a "degenerate" then the word literally has zero meaning" - and that's because in the world of Sam Hyde the word has come to have basically zero meaning. I'll point you again to the part of my post where I quoted what Sam Hyde just said on Alex Stein, at the same time as he is profiting from Fishtank: "if your business model involves degeneracy I'm not impressed".

If that's how you feel then perhaps consider re-directing your anger towards those who actually make the show and make money from it. And if you so detest and are so opposed to what is shown on it, then perhaps stop watching it for entertainment or whatever.

Ever since Rachel left the show has been a drag for me. When I was watching it I would usually be watching Rachel in B3 80% of the time and watching the director cam 20% of the time.

When the cast gets together to hang out in the living room or kitchen I'm just so out of tune with what they're talking about or I just don't care. A bunch of NEETs and zoomers talking about degenerate internet shit. Don't get me wrong, I know what Fishtank is, but season 1 had a cast that had synergy and chemistry when they hung out and talked, season 2 had a cast that were fans, but they were not insufferable and each had their own quirks, season 3 had the best cast in terms of personality, and season 4 just has the most degenerate fans who do not want to win, do not want to be famous, they do not want to hurt each others feelings, they just want to hang around and say they were apart of Fishtank.

I know it's still super early in the season and a lot of shit did happen the first week (mostly thanks to Rachel's meltdowns) but now that Rachel is gone everything seems so boring and slow and there's no energy. We really need some freeloaders who have a personality or charisma. I haven't watched the show in almost 3 days but I do check these threads and other places like X for updates and I really haven't missed much.

I'm not asking for hell house, but maybe that's what this cast needs to bring the show to life. I'm dreading the next 4 or 5 weeks of this at this pace, and there's no one I can find myself wanting to root for or that I can connect with because they all just seem so much of the same, just some are less autistic and retarded than the other.

I think a big part of casting needs to be finding people who want to win. Who need the money or wants to be famous. The Famous House concept really was the best way to find these type of people for this type of show. I also understand production paid $30k to a casting agency to find the contestants for season 3 which I can see being seen as too expensive when you can just recruit anyone off of Craigslist or Instagram to do the show but honestly there's a big difference in quality between the casts in S3 and S4 and I think the S3 cast was worth the money.
