This has born some fruit, as his daily bitching to St. Cloud PD has caused an investigation into parole violation.
Very brazenly, Aaron's lawyer reply to the investigation was for the "victim" to stop watching his client's show everyday.
It will be interesting how this plays out tomorrow, if Aaron's lawyer has his own portfolio of every time Nick has made comments about STMS and bitched to the authorities on his wife's behalf, instead of just his wife who is the actual "victim".

I checked the hearing schedule for Judge Heidi Schultz tomorrow and her whole day is booked in 15 minute increments for various criminal hearings. She isn't going to have time for any nonsense.
Nick's dream of a great courtroom showdown will be dashed upon the shoals of tight judicial scheduling.

Actually $10,000 is the maximum statutory damages. Maximum statutory damages are generally only awarded in the most egregious cases.

§Subd. 3.Damages. The court may award the following damages to a prevailing plaintiff from a person found liable under subdivision 1 or 2:
(1) general and special damages, including all finance losses due to the dissemination of the image and damages for mental anguish;

(2) an amount equal to any profit made from the dissemination of the image by the person who intentionally disclosed the image;

(3) a civil penalty awarded to the plaintiff of an amount up to $10,000; and

(4) court costs, fees, and reasonable attorney fees.

I doubt a "barely even a violation" would get anywhere even in the middle range. Attorney fees could be steep depending on how involved the litigation got and a wannabe Russell Greer like Nick would be as vexatious as he could get.

That doesn't seem right. If you're charged with something criminally, why should you then be targeted civally? It seems it should only be one or the other.

Edit: When I say "right," I mean fair. I believe that this legally true in Minnesota, but It seems wrong (from a fair sense) that you can plead guilty and then get punished for it. The idea of guilty pleas is to reward people for coming clean.

The latter. Nick's probably going to try and get his law license back exclusively so he can represent himself for free and sue Aaron with doomed lawsuits to force Aaron to pay a lawyer to defend himself
