I never thought anybody could understand skibidi toilet less than I do but damned if aging late night hosts don't find a way.

Somebody really needs to tell these people they're old, and not in the "haha if you embrace how out of touch you are it's funny" kind of way just literally go away and stop trying old.

They backed off after the public raised hell about it and Musk stepped in. I'm just hoping maybe Vance or Trump can do something about it, because I don't want my country becoming like the UK where police show up at my door for shitposting online.
I don't know how much trade Ireland does with the US, but i know a lot of rich people and companies use you guys as a tax haven. There is always the nuclear option we could take that away if they do that.

the pipe part sounds like bullshit to me. ethanol is pretty easy and forgiving to work with, the only thing you need to worry about is its flammability. i don't see how or why it would be a problem for pipelines.

ethanol fuel from corn is a pretty neat concept, so far it's the most successful of all the "make cars run on renewables" ideas people have come up with. it's not economically viable as long as oil is as abundant as it is, but especially for countries with no local oil reserves of their own it can contribute to decreasing their reliance on imports which is also good.
but for america in particular it seems kinda pointless, with how abundant the local oil and gas reserves are.
Ethanol specifically is corrosive to plastic and rubber. Seals and shit wear out from long term exposure. Newer cars don't have as much of an issue but older cars get eaten up by modern fuel blends.

New age memes are just somthing else arent they?

I think its when we let that deep fried markiplier edit as lord farquad with E at the bottom slide and it was all downhill from there

He’s right though, you need fossil fuels to harvest said corn.

It’s net energy negative. Unless you’re using all nuclear powered electric equipment, it’s a massive waste of resources.

It also drives food costs up, because farmers are using tons of farmland to capture government funds only.

Mamdani wants to increase corporate taxes while also kicking out corporations by making government owned grocery stores. This also undermines the local delis in NY putting them at risk because most can't afford to cut down their prices to compete like how the big stores that'll stick around can. He's unironically gonna assrape the NY economy if he attempts this and probably get into debt from all the overpriced handouts he intends to give.

Fucking Christ the past 5 days have been a fucking roller coaster of emotion for me, at first I felt scared, then I felt betrayed then I felt relived, then I felt shocked and optimistic all in 2 days. Like how the fuck did what happen even happen.
4D chess is a meme, but Trump showing up and just shooting from the hip on instinct in literally every direction, but ending up the winner of a sniper shootout is just something that happens and I don't have a way of adequately parsing it while it happens. Wait and See bros win again.

I was expecting news that Israel and Iran were back to killing each other with nothing having been solved, but as far as I can tell at a bare minimum both have decided to lick their wounds for a while. I'm still waiting to see if Iran follows through on their threat to close the Strait of Hormuz.

The primary issue seems to be how much ethanol likes to absorb water, especially in fuel blends. Piping pure ethanol might be possible, but if I recall correctly you can only reach about 96% alcohol via distillation so getting it to be pure is a bit more industrially involved.

This talks about the pitting stainless steel undergoes as a result of fuel blends, and this talks about fuel blends corroding metals in general.
