I remember, when Trump was announced as the 2025 elect, people were talking about how "daddy is finally home".
But between him bragging about home improvement projects, the general fatigue of dealing with bullshit to the point of dropping one of the rawest "fuck"s, and making these kinds of jokes just to fuck with someone working under him, it really does feel like that.

I predict that there will be a strong overlap between the people who are going to become mega butthurt over who's going to be the mayor of NYC, and with people who like to larp as wholesome Real Americans from rural Tennessee but have suspiciously easy access to boba tea and non-cheddar cheeses.

As horrific of an option as Mamdani is, I'd like to remind people that Andrew Cuomo's antics during COVID literally caused the lockdowns.

He placed sick patients in nursing homes, which caused the disease to spread like wildfire and the death rate to spike hard within New York. They had 10s of thousands dead before most states had more than you could count on one hand. NY by itself inflated the infected and death tolls so hard that the media was able to rile up fear and essentially forced Trump to lock everything down for the "two weeks to flatten the curve." After that resistance was essentially over and everyone got 1-3 years of lockdown. It all goes back to that monster Cuomo.

Mamdani would have to utilize the NYC to bomb hospitals to even be close to the level of evil that is Andrew Cuomo. NYC's primary makes them fucked regardless.

The issue is that he only wants to make them because he thinks the source of high food costs is greedy grocery stores (it's not). The other issue is that this assrapes the local delis and puts them out of business because they work with the same razor thin profit margins as the grocery stores; the difference being they can't ever afford to dip below that to attract costumers and then raise it again once they have a steady supply of them.

Public transit being made free by him is the furthest thing from revolutionary and the fact that all countries don't just have public transit paid for by taxes is retarded as it leaves them vulnerable to fare evasion and all that shit.
As I've said before, his entire thing is going to crash and burn instantly and he will need a team of people hired to do his entire job for him. At best he'll be a figurehead and at the worst he'll be a total failure.

The issue with completely free public transit is that every vehicle immediately turns into a mobile hobo hovel. It's subsidized up the ass even when they charge for fares, but in theory you can kick out those who don't pay. Of course, a lot of western cities have completely resigned on that because charging for services is racist, but that's a separate problem
