That would be a real pain in the ass at the metal detector. You don't want anything metal with you that you can't just put through the X-ray.

When I did jury duty they didn't take phones. One boomer juror had her phone go off twice! during the trial and the bailiff just gave her the stink eye. This was a small rural court room, they probably go harder in the city.
