In my experience, that is entirely inaccurate. Vast majority of fandom invaders are far left, often they don't even care about the source material or downright hate it but wish to use it for propaganda purposes anyways. There is always going to be clueless, ignorant normalfags who "colonize it", sure, but more often than not it is malicious in nature and done by left leaning parties or coomers/trannies who just want to groom any kids or vulnerable shut-ins within the movement. But of course, both sides le bad because I am an enlightened fence sitter, please let me know if right wingers have any serious history of trying to convert entire fandoms to their whims like leftists do.
