You're posting like a schizoid right now. I do want it to succeed, but its trajectory is grim and better efforts should be made to spread awareness, not just here.
/pol/ and /v/ are trying to scrounge for signatures, even trying to get siblings and family members to fork over identification numbers, but it's genuinely hard to get people who just can't be arsed to support a simple document.

Your paranoia that I'm trying to sabotage this effort is unfounded. We still need at least ~600K signatures to guarantee passing the 1M threshold when the audits begin tossing out bots.
Boo hoo nigga. I'm not calling you a spy or a spoiler, I'm calling you a faggot.

BETRAYAL!

It's Asmongold reacting to moistcritical reacting to Ross Scott reacting to Ficktree reacting to SKG. It's slop paramount and will poke holes into your brain.
I know that at this point it's too few data points to draw a clear conclusion, but looking at this graph of recent signatures per day
skg-signatures-per-day.webp
and noticing the increasing size of slop chain regarding Stop Killing Games, I choose to believe that the longer the slop chain becomes, the faster the goal will be met.

I will revisit my hypothesis once someone posts a 24h+ slop stream that is a 15-sloptuber-react-chain and I can verify whether the slop singularity signatures per day jumps to 1.5 million/day.

It's just fucking videogames
Yes, it is just video games, that's why they're the primary target for anti-consumer laws. They're so innocuous that the powers that be anticipate no pushback.
So that way, when they move on to something slightly less innocuous, you're already used to it being done to something more innocuous. Then over time, the frogs get boiled further and further until all forms of ownership can be turned into at-will dependencies at the hands of faceless ultrawealthy psychopaths.
The last time people went "It's just fucking video games" led to a pipeline where now you need to pay a subscription to John Deere to make your tractor work. Video games are the test bed because it's such a consumer-heavy field it's easy to experiment. Pushback now means pushback isn't needed later.

I hated this guy at first sight just because of how he looks. There's a trend of Youtubers dressing up as clowns because it gets them more attention and somehow nobody noticed it.
Funny enough, he dropped most of the clown makeup recently (earrings are still there though)

I say this not to defend him, but to show how even the people doing this will eventually revert because it's so dumb.

"I mean, not buying british tea is an option, is it not?"
thats not a very fair comparison as it this was a case of an overseas government attempting to punish a colony through taxation. The tea was thrown into the harbour as a sign of resistance to that government. In this case not buying the tea wasn't an option because the issue was that they didn't have a say in the governments dealings.Again i ultimately agree with the idea of using the government to enact change because the alternative isnt feasible but this quip doesnt really work.

I'd be more comfortable with approaching Indvidual devs on this than asking the government to step in. On this, I am actually on PirateSoftware's side. Absolutely. If he'd have presented this as is main reasoning from the very beginning and his only hesitation going forward, I highly doubt he'd have this much push back. Fuck's sake. The government literally had Zoe Quinn and a couple of her orbiters go to the UN and cry about their self-inflicted "oppression". Do you REALLY trust the government that much to regulate something that they don't really give much of a shit about in the first fucking place?
Zoe Quinn is a game dev - do you trust her to make the right call?
The EU was able to get Apple to stop fucking around and standardized a charging cord, that was of benefit to consumers. They also made sure to limit loopholes for Apple, like forcing wireless charging only. The games industry has been given a billion chances to self regulate, and every time shit only gets worse.
Ubisoft took a backpedal with the Crew 2, promising to allow for serverless play now that they realize they are fucked, but they are looking for the best chance to return to the status quo. Hoping publishers or devs are just going to do the right thing does not work, eventually you will get screwed and the game you bought could just stop working.

It's mainly a TikTok/Instagram problem because their services are one and done, meaning as soon as the stream stops, there's no archive. They don't save their streams anywhere so you'd have to be there while it's happening to archive it. Other platforms like Rumble doesn't really have this issue because VODs are automatically uploaded after a stream is done unless the channel specifies otherwise.

So, you'd have to develop something like
  • Constant scans of Mald's account to see if he's live [The issue I see here is the amount of requests that would get sent to the server]
  • If he is live, download his stream
  • If not, keep scanning
Well you could check twitch chat if the channel is live. Kinda like chatterino does. Since it is an IRC channel.
I am not very tech savy but I think it wouldnt use any request

It's amazing to me how many of you fucking retards actually want the government to run your pitiful lives. Imagine actually being European.
The government is already fucking with vidya (and media in general), but to our detriment.
The law allows IP owners to shut down private servers of dead games, or to sue and arrest pirates distributing 20 years old games that haven't been available for purchase for over a decade.

In a fair world I'd be able to shoot anyone trying to mess with my property (the games I own), but this is not a fair world.

I bought Minecraft back in 2011, from Mojang. Recently it was stolen from me by Microsoft, as I am unwilling to sign the new TOS.
Incoming blogpost and spergrage, but you reminded me of my own experience. They stole it from me, too - But my case was even more egregious I feel. I bought it back in 2011 when it was new. I played off and on for over a decade. Then, the time comes where you have to transfer from a Mojang account to an outlook account. I went through the process, and they needed to send a verification code to my original email before switching to the new one. But, the email I used for minecraft over a decade ago was defunct. Lost the password years ago. So, I go through the hassle of finding the password, and eventually I do. I sign in, and I tell Microsoft to send the code. Nothing shows up. I try several more times, no email ever goes through. I email myself, to make sure the email is active, and it is. I ask Microsoft tech support why their verifications aren't being sent. The interaction went like this.

"If the email you used had, at any point, been registered as 'dormant' then we can't send you an email."

"Okay, so then, how can I verify then? Can I give you a different email?"

"No, in this instance the only way I can proceed any further is if you provide me with the receipt number from when you bought it."

"You expect me to have a digital receipt saved from over 10 years ago? That's absolute horseshit. You're saying I have no choice but to, what, buy the game again?"

"I'm very sorry. I actually had to buy the game a second time myself because I faced the same issue as you." SAYS THE FUCKING MICROSOFT EMPLOYEE.

@Osama Bin Laden I have an old computer and like 1tb hdd space. If you can programm something that downloads the stream and chat automatically, I could use that. I got a vpn but I dont know what u mean with a proxy/deticated server

I feel like if the farms guy wasn't a sperg his opening move would have been to get all the fucking Rocket League streamers on board. Between Spain, Poland, Germany, and France there are easily a million people playing fucking Rocket League, and that's a live service game.

Asmongold and Moist are both Amerimutts living in fucking LA. They have multi-million person audiences and only a fraction of that is going to be in the EU. I don't know if people know this, but without the UK, there are ZERO english-speaking countries in the EU.

These are all very good things and im sure no person in their right minds are saying that the fact that he government acted in a positive way towards their consumers is still bad. I feel like the issue at hand is that the fact that the government is regulating the corporations isnt an airtight solution as all it takes is for government and corporate interest to align for everything to go back to square one.
Its truly a catch 22 situation in the sense that none of the parties involved really have your best interest at heart and self sufficiency simply isnt possible. but doing something is definitely better than doing nothing.

I hate to break it to you but in the case of the initiative reaching the goal it's not an own to Fagtree.
IF the initiative is successful Fagtree can easily claim this was his plan all along.
That making himself the bad guy was expertly calculated to boost the initiative at the end, that he was in fact a the good guy and very very smart all along.
Yeah, but only his remaining ballwashers are going to believe that. I already brought up the possibility, because that would be funny and he'd look like a tard. "I was just pretending to be retarded" is such a surrender to the eyes of the world.

If you have no idea how to do it, I think you should learn more about computing before you start asking me.
