Nigger Tax: one of the last shows I went to, there was some stout nigga windmilling and rushing into the pit, singling people out, and trying to check them as hard as possible with elbows. Some of the giant white dudes there, because every metal show has some cornfed giants for some reason, decided to gang up and just ping-pong him back and forth ruthlessly. He'd go down, they'd yank him up, and start slamming him all over again.
After they were done, nog spent the rest of the show sitting in the corner looking at his phone. Was the only black there, too.

Their relationship to their community, and their feelings about it, seem to be identical to the way I feel about my local walmart. It's a convenience ...but I have to attachment to it beyond that.

I think the modern world has reduced most white people to a similar state, with regard to our nations. It's sad because there was a time in the past when we revered our homeland because we had built it - us and our ancestors. That's what "our land" meant.

Anyway, the poem describes what it's like to be away from home, and then return - and what that stirring, that aching in your heart. It reminds me of being deployed overseas. I remember when I got back, and I flew into my home city, looking out the window as the plane was descending and the first building I recognized, just filled me with this bittersweet joy - homecoming.

And the poem says, "if you can't or don't feel this, then you're worthless!"
