Cops are generally fine but when youre in philly and have called 911 for people getting shot and they act like its no big deal or had to press charges for multiple home burlgaries or assaults and nothing happens then your view is skewed i guess. My fault for living there as long as i did but not my fault for how cops act. Btw my lawyers for the assaults ended up being trump lawyers for his impeachment. Good people. Terrible city.

Most people like cops in America. When people say colloquially "i hate cops" it doesn't mean they want them gone, it's because whenever they deal with cops, it's just annoying, like with speeding tickets

I'm wary of cops if I haven't specifically requested for them. At the end of the day, their job is to find crime and prosecute, so they will go looking wherever they can for it. Their purpose is quite clear and necessary, but they can get a bit aggressive at times, so I always assume they're sniffing for something when interacting with them, which is a rare occurrence, but they only need to decide you're guilty once to ruin you.
