I went around to a couple of local grocery stores (not some fancy-pants store but not Walmart either) and didn't find Null's stinkcheese but I did find something called "Baltic Farmers Cheese" which had the right sort of post-Soviet ring to it.

I now feel compelled to complete this challenge and get myself a cheese badge.

Today was the day from hell in terms of getting goals done. I was starting to write some shit, the power went out, I started baking. Somehow this led to confrontations and arguments I will refrain from rambling about. What's important here is I did not get to go to that nearby weird shop rite. Instead I ended up getting roped into going on a journey into bumfuck somewhere or other where I then noticed there was a similarly weird shop rite, if not weirder because they had like fake streetlamps when you walked in on top of some other stuff. DID NOT FIND THE CHEESE MENTIONED IN OP WHICH PISSES ME OFF BECAUSE I KNOW PLACES AROUND HERE SELL IT. Maybe I was in the wrong area? Anyways there were still a decent variety of cheeses. Same case for the other place I went to afterwards which had a lot and I mean a LOT of european cheeses. They even had like a "seasonal cheese festival" section or some shit which made me laugh.

I'll try sorting through my photos later. I fucked up my initial writing of my username on the first letter in marker and then after the power blinked I ended up rewriting it in a shaking car with pencil and then using the marker over part of it due to being on a time crunch while traveling with someone else. Turned the fucked up one into an autistic drawing, was gonna draw a slobbermutt but all I got done was the chin before it was cheese time. I saw a lot of fucking cheese I really want to try sometime now. May do the exercise trek to the weird shop rites I know have stuff if weather's not too bad on friday.

I just realized one of the photos I forgot to send through was the fact the second place I was at had a whole fucking section of blue cheeses specifically. If I ever go there or a similar place again and see that shit and it's affordable my ass is gonna try it.

One thing i noticed about the places I went to is the cheeses were like split between like 3 or 4 different areas of thew grocery store and it was a little bit of a bitch in the first one to figure out which ones I wanted to take photos of/found worthy for possibly trying later. The fact they had NEARLY EVERY OTHER CHEESE IN EXISTENCE SAVE FOR THE ONE I WAS FAMILIAR WITH THE NAME OF Says something I think. I don't know what but it says something.

As you may have noticed, I was the other person permanently Limburger banned (despite not actually posting anything about cheese). Fortunately for me, I was able to easily find Limburger immediately after my ban.

I was actually able to take this photo a mere 3 hours after my ban. Despite this, I had to painfully wait until today because of email delivery issues on null’s end. I noticed that @McMitch is also unbanned so I’m not sure if he also completed the cheese run or if he was also unbanned alongside me.

I, too, had been delayed due to email server issues; however the grocery in my podunk two-horse town is closed Sunday and Monday, so I had to wait anyway. I contemplated driving into the Metro area to expedite the process, but doing research showed I actually had a better selection here.

I outlined some of my thoughts regarding my ban on @We Are The Witches post on my profile, which I'll quote here:

I have a few thoughts on the whole situation, and why I'm not too upset over getting banned:
1) He made his post about banning people pushing him on the topic before this response. If I had done due diligence and read the posts in the thread before replying (a habit I think is important when arguing on a web forum, regardless of how vitriolic it gets), I would have held back on the issue.
2) This isn't the first time Null as handled a situation like this in this manner. It's the only hammer he's got, and I have been sympathetic to his side of the issue when he's wielded it before. Combined with already knowing how sensitive he is regarding the Cheese Question, it was only a matter of time before we started looking like nails.
3) This isn't the first time in that conversation I had called him a fag. I had definitely riled myself regarding the argument, and was using such language to poke at what I knew was an exposed nerve.

I was on the fence on whether I'd disclose the outcome of my Cheese Run, because, per the strict letter of the task, I failed. However, with @Jobama mentioning me in this thread, it has tipped my decision into transparency.

As per your instructions, I have attempted a cheese run to have my account unbanned. The reason for the delay is the store near me is closed Sundays and Mondays. Attached are pictures of the cheese in the case, labelled "Hooligan", as well as proof I've at least been to a purchased a quarter pound of said cheese.

I would like to apologize: you have taken my words to claim you are lying about the selection of cheese near your location. This was not my intent and I regret if it came across as such. I have also gained a bit more perspective on the length of frustration regarding your dairy-based dissatisfaction, even if I disagree that it is only partially quelled by proximity to high-population-density areas. I had also resorted to personal insults which were uncalled for.

Ultimately, I will concede two points: 1) I refuse to purchase Limburger online and fabricate a display. There's no point, when the contention is an accusation of lying, in succeeding via falsehood. 2) The cheese I purchased, while wash-rind and aged, is only aged for about half as long as Limburger would be and results in a more French, Muenster like taste. It is pretty good, however.

I await your decision whether this is sufficient to prove your point.

EDIT: Meant to bring this up earlier, but today I trekked through hot weather to get cleaning supplies from one of the nearest grocery stores as a bit of exercise. After I got there I realized I could have done the cheese run shit there and kinda pissed myself off knowing I fucked up a shot at another attempt to survey the cheeses places around here carry for later cheese notes.

This is what always confused me about the Great Cheese Debate. If you go to the Walmart in Butthole Oklahoma of course it's nothing but cheddar, but almost every Kroger in the nice part of town has that same cheese display.
