This prompted me to look up other state laws because hunting baited deer is illegal where I’m at: apparently Hawaii has like no restrictions on deer hunting which is wild to me because it’s not like they have the near unlimited numbers the continental states have. Alaska, Florida, and Texas are all more restrictive than Hawaii.

It's popular because Young Adult and even Adult Fantasy novels are produced almost exclusively for women. In addition, because video games are familiar territory for young men and the LitRPG genre provides an easy setup to hand-wave a lot of worldbuilding regarding magic, you get the perfect medium for boys who enjoy reading to get something that isn't teen romance.

In the end, it boils down to a lack of published content for boys end with LitRPG stories seeing huge success because their the only thing around, in addition to being easy and fast to write.

This might sound weird or cold but I think there's a certain type of women that subconsciously or naturally gets drawn to the abusive relationships and a certain type of men (animals in human skin) that gets drawn to that type of woman. It's like they can smell each other. They always end up together and even if you shipped both of them to seperate continents they would end up with people just like their ex partner. I don't think you can actually help that type of person. They're like the homeless that you can't really do anything but institutionalize.

It was an extremely comfortable dichotomy. Even when we argued the worst it ever really got was deciding not to talk to each other for a day or two. One of the few women I felt I could talk to about even the weird or schizo shit I found interesting. I think she felt the same.
