100%, depending on your definition of network and influence / delude.

For example, Twitter probably sends each of them the tweets of the others on the algorithm that tries to intentionally keep people in skinner box bubbles. Anime obsessed + Lesbian Porn Obsessed + Same Region of the World... lots of ways the bot would put each of them together on the "for you" timeline so they see each other's communications.

Of course, then you get one of them trooning out and that bot, which is intentionally putting together people with similar interests, becomes an automatic grooming machine.

Then there's shit like Discord, Reddit...

If you take the word tragic/tragedy by it's literal definition, "regrettable" then sure. I forget where but there was a study done about golden-gate jumpers who survived and the consensus was that every single person regretted the moment they took the plunge. A momentary flash of lucidity during the most stupid and permanent decision of your life. It says a lot that no matter how hard someones life is that at that moment your instincts kick in and your brain tells you just how much of a fucking idiot you are. What you just did was wrong, it wasn't the answer but rip too late bozo.

Personally I can't see suicide as anything other than incredibly selfish. Family and friends left behind to pick up the pieces. Some poor employee that has to fish out your corpse. The passers by that thought "did that person just...?". Meanwhile the people that started this sequence of events by convincing this kid they're a heckin valid female will bear zero responsibility.

Not finding a body doesn’t really mean anything. A lot of bodies from bridge jumpers don’t get found for a couple weeks, when decomposition causes bloating that increases buoyancy of the body. The water is not very clear around Portland so body recovery divers have a lot of trouble before that point.

Correction to my earlier posts. It was not the Marquam bridge that the second troon jumped from. Hence why the first pipe doesn’t match up. Just a similar background . Correct bridge is Walkway over the Hudson in Poughkeepsie New York. Sharty got it. Will compile earlier posts to reflect this correction.

First troon jumped from St John’s bridge. I think the second one jumped from marquam bridge. Marquam is higher, and is what a lot of people in Portland pick to use for suicide. It’s right next to omsi. I’m not sure if the first or second level of the bridge was the jumping point. The round metal pipe in the pic is throwing me off because I can’t seem to find it in the google maps pictures, but I don’t know how recent they are. 2nd troon had to be really selective with picture angles to not include a bunch of buildings.

Again, this is a very common suicide bridge, a lot of suicides happen via bridge jumping in Portland, it’s almost a cultural phenomenon. Sucks it was a 16 year old, whole life ahead and it got cut short because of porn and discord.

Correct location is here, I haven’t ever driven to New York though, so I can’t comment on the water quality.
