This is an official government process that's taking place, the vote counter is made by the government, is hosted on the governments website, and with the EU being what it is, they are no doubt inspecting all traffic that comes through their infrastructure. They may not validate the info in real-time for every country, but they have to be keeping an eye out for multiple submissions from the same IP address. Maybe a few would not be suspicious, but hundreds of submissions on a single IP. Even if they rotated VPNs, that's a tall ask. And for what gain?

lol
That's my point. It seems very unlikely that without prior leakage on plans (sophisticated plans are really hard to contain), somehow undetected surge of botted signatures is happening and EU does nothing. Until there's evidence of botting, I would say it's more of a cascade of signatures due to high profile coverage and MALD being a ROACH.

I agree. I can understand someone being skeptical of this passing, life being what it is. I personally trust the count for the most part.

And one thing we can all agree on is that Jason is a stupid nigger.

Keep in mind the skyrocketing has happened in the wake of a dedicated signal-boosting campaign. It makes perfect sense that it would react in response to that.

Forgive me if I don't share your optimism. It ain't over until we establish a strong presence beyond the 1 million threshold. I'm talking 2-6 million at the least. Until then, we aren't out of the woods yet.
True. But I think we'll manage over 1 million. Even to go further. But its fine you don't see the same elation. Skepticism is usual is all. I'm skeptical that we will get over 2 million and about how this will play out. The proposal that is.
Oh, the green bar is further along than the red one. it's probably gonna close out today with time to spare.

Funnily enough, the keep-track site added an estimator for the expected total signatures based on the going rate.

Granted, that's probably far in excess of what it'll actually hit, but man... can you imagine?
I'm still going to put my hand in the air while having a shot of whiskey. I'm imagining a lot more traction and more signatures

Louis Rossmann Part 2
"Stop Killing Games Part 2"

Wants SKG to have a plan of action. Giving the honest critique about all of this. He wants SKG to succeed.
The guy he interviewed seems a little too sure of himself quite often and gets shit wrong like the steam DRM and "Everybody loves steam"

I get that Louis probably interviewed becuase he needed someone to be contrarian but the guy is getting a lot wrong. The WoW server stuff too...

Ross commented on Louis' part two. I watched the whole thing and the guy Louis is talking to just seemed confused about a bunch of the definitions and what is demanded from the industry.
To me, it looks like there just needs to be a conversation to hash out the actual problems the industry would have and I don't think anyone is against that.
The guy didn't seem to know shit that a lot of people do know.
Did Louis say who the guy was? I don't think there were any introductions done which I found very strange.

Ludwig comment on Jason post.

So how long before Ludwig rehired the furry fucker when the drama dies down? Do like how he try to claim to support SKG but also try to play the victim card too.
Think he was forced out and told to step down?
I'd imagine he got quite the yelling at and told to step down or they'd make an uncomfortable exit for him.
Ludwig does not seem the type to me to actually stand up for anyone but himself.

To everyone thinking it's weird that there are so many signatures at night:
We're talking about how many? 30k a night? When you frame it against the entire population of the EU you will notice that 30k people is an absolutely MINUSCULE amount when compared to even some of the major cities. How many do you think are browsing the internet at night, watching the videos of the latest dramas, checking out Facebook, etc. Literal hundreds of thousands, if not millions. Additionally university students have a break at the moment, so it's even more likely that they will be doing all-nighters.
500k people is an average population of a one major city. Do you really think that there is less than 30k people sitting on their computers at night at the same time in one such city alone?
Its not odd, its all the fucking Euro no lifes who game realizing what's going on and signing. It's a wonderful thing.

IT WAS REVIEW BOMBED... IN MY HEAD

"People said mean things on twitter."

LOL, nigger, please.

Which it should because video games are more important than water.
No one has a right to water for free.

But you do have a right to own what you bought including that water.

Actually getting laws and protections in place - Skeptic
Seeing Jason get angry because he's a terrible human outside of having differing views - ecstatic

If the first one doesn't actually turn into a law, at least it's a small win that there's people who want it, Regardless, Fuck Pirate.

Some retards definitely did some amount of botting/faking signatures but probably not enough to throw a wrench in the works.

However people should keep pushing until the last day like we're missing another 100k.
Will it be a safety cushion for potential gay-ops?
Yes.
Will it give politicians an idea of just how many potential voters are invested in this?
Also yes.
Will every single additional vote cause Maldy to feel excruciating pain?
Probably not but we can hope.

I can already see all the videos celebrating hitting 1Mil and I can just as much see that the boost to the signatures will dry up. Because of that it will be important to remind people and the Tubers that 1Mil might be reached, but that there is a chance that 10%-20% of that gets thrown out for being bots, having typos, etc.

There's no way that all Finnish signatures are botted because Finns were in the lead since the very beginning, before Mald made the video. It would take the king of autists himself to bot the ECI at that stage.

In such a short amount of time as well. The other countries are just breaching 300% as well. So everything seems very distributed.

In regards to botting, if you look at the data section of the tracker, it shows that there have been increases of around 100% or more across multiple EU countries in the same week time frame. Like others have said, we just have to hope that some of the momentum continues and people don't just go "it's already reached it's goal, I cant be bothered to sign it" and it goes above the 1 mil mark by a decent margin

Boting would also be a bit counter productive for both goals. If they want it to pass, then obviously it could jeopardize the entire movement. If they want it to fail, it might actually have given it the momentum it needed since a few weeks ago it probably wouldn't even come close to the millie. I don't think this is being heavily botted.

Still yeah, conscience should be raised that we need some amount of margin to make sure we get the goal, hopefully it keeps the momentum after it crosses the 1 million mark.

Not to mention:
Several gamers are neets and many could also still be in school/college and those have recently started to have summer breaks, include night shifters and EU citizens travelling/living abroad.
I have to do the regular 9-5 grind and I'm usually still up past 12:00 p.m. doomscrolling/browsing here. If I wouldn't have signed it before, I may have signed around that time as well.
But yea still, going for like 1,2-1,5 mil should be a safe bet
