There are many who worked in the Obama administration and said the guy would listen to their advice or criticism, even if Obama ultimately chose to pursue a different policy. It sounds like the only modern presidency where criticism was truly verboten was Mr. Autopen.

I actually have! Well at least wherever you had to sign up for food/insurance help. At least in the state I'm in when you're on gibs they call you very often and give pretty embarrassing interviews and ask for paperwork to see if you really 'need' it. I've had to give paperwork to my bosses to sign make sure I wasn't earning too much so I could still qualify for gib insurance. Wasn't the most fun thing in the world
The only way that the education system in the US is going to improve, is to get all levels of government out of it while simultaneously axing at least 50% of administrative jobs in it and trashing all "teachers" who can't pass basic knowledge tests in their fields (protip: this is most of them). US education has been controlled by the left for the past 40+ years, to disastrous results.
