Trump Enslavement Syndrome - Orange man good. /r/The_Donald and any public demonstration of rabid pro-Trump enthusiasm in spite of all reason.

Trump just can’t stop his offing his base. Pretty must all the rural hospitals are going to close.
Don't worry they included $50bn of rural hospital support in the bill. What is that going to be used for? Who knows, there's no blueprint for disbursement of funds. It also doesn't make up for the $1tn Medicaid cut over the same time period. Your Medicaid patients will now turn into indigent patients. Medicaid is under the cost of care, but at least you can get something out of it instead of zilch. Do you think that is good for hospital revenue?

It will be fun to watch the sheep mindlessly bleat "MAGA MAGA" as all their hospitals close around them.

MAGAs are letting Trump go all Big Lebowski Jesus on them. I would have fucked you in the ass Saturday, I fuck you in the ass next Wednesday instead.

And with all the Medicaid cuts and rural hospital care cuts, these so-called "pro-lifers" are going to end up killing so many pregnant women and their unborn children in poor/rural areas. Because that's what Jesus would have done.

Family has already bitching about losing their insurance.

Reap what you sow nigger, I feel like a goddamn cryer on a soapbox screaming That a title wave is coming to kill us all and all these people are like " fake news"

Fuck them
These Trump niggers really would burn down their house so a liberal has to breathe in smoke, won't they? No refunds, lmao.

Late but I just saw the news that the BBB has passed. Sad day for ordinary people like most MAGA lovers. But they won't be seeing that because they are too busy celebrating a liberal struggling because of it.
All the MAGA niggers will continue supporting Trump unconditionally like its a cult, just because of "da libs" or some other boogeyman.

Majority of MAGA's are fucking retarded and will never learn from anything.

Remember folks when the Patriot Act was passed and was applouded? Yeah its now probably one of the more despised bills ever passed.

OH and remember when they fucking cheered for those Regan bills to be passed. Same shit.

Faggots will never learn, just double down on the same fucking shit.

Got curious and tried asking Chatgpt about this. When asking about the second to last bill to do major cuts to medicaid and it suggested it was in 1997 when Republicans had both houses of congress under Clinton and did their Balanced Budget Act doing cuts of $127 billion over 5 years, so similar to $254 billion when adjusted for inflation.

For contrast the recent reconciliation bill did about a trillion in cuts over 10 years. So year by year it's similar to twice as big of cuts.

But didn't seem to make people hate Republicans that much as Bush still got in after a few years. Though that's possibly thanks to the dot com boom still semi-going and helping the economy to not feel bumpy during that time (so there was even a budget surplus which Republicans could try attributing to themselves).

In contrast, the economy doesn't really feel too booming so much as chugging along now and Trump's taxes look like they're here to stay (until he changes his mind again or his out of office) so prices of a lot of goods would be going up and businesses adjust.

have fun losing your health insurance, dumbass.

The Republican/Democrat/Republican/Democrat Congress swings have always happened and always will. But it never meant more than it does now. i just hope the corrupt Republican Supreme Court judges (Clarence Thomas in particular) retire or drop dead so we can get our fair court system back.
People on this site simping for Clarence Thomas baffle me cause he's the exact type of person that would look at this site & vote against it if some harassment case came up in front of the Supreme Court. The guy doesn't give a rats ass about freedom of speech or expression.

Bush lost the popular vote but was handed the presidency anyway because of a conservative supreme court and shenanigans in a state where the governor was his brother. You know, third world politics.

Thomas is a payed shill. Honestly, people on here cheer because they think he “own” the libs until they realize he’s black…then it “he’s a nigger!”

Yep, it was so close in Florida that Gore asked for a recount, was denied, and didn't pursue it any further. Hillary accepted her defeat even though she won the popular vote. Trump asked for AND GOT recount after recount, and even when it was clear he lost and was told so by officials from his OWN party in red states. I'll never forget the recording of his phone call asking Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to "find" a specific number of votes for him.

And yet here we are.

Even if it hadn’t come down to Bush’s brother playing election Calvinball, Gore still should’ve bodied him. The country had just come off eight years of no endless wars, no skyrocketing debt, no melting ice caps, but the American electorate saw all that and rolled dice for their beer pong buddy.

Got exactly what they ordered off the Idiot Combo Menu:
  • A housing market crash
  • A war built on a steaming pile of horseshit that cost a trillion dollars we didn’t have
  • A drowned American city because Bush wouldn’t coordinate with the Democratic governor and handed FEMA over to some chucklefuck whose résumé consisted of running horse shows.
And that's just the highlight reel.

The economy was a lot stronger in the mid-90s so there was very much a perception that people would get off the Medicaid rolls and get all these new jobs. In 2025, the economy is just limping along and nobody thinks that there’s all these new jobs they can get. This budget is designed to just screw over those on Medicaid by making them jump through more hoops.

Gore was basically too nice of a guy to fight dirty with Bush. That’s all it was. America was a radically different country in 2000 than it is today.
This is by design. There’s all kinds of CEOs in business that put in poison pills that their successors are screwed over on. Trump is the kind of nigger who will pull that shit purely out of spite. He doesn’t give a shit about Vance. Never has, never will. Recall that in his first term, he anointed Ivanka as his successor. He’ll think it’s funny that someone like Gavin Newsom or Gretchen Whitmer will push Vance’s shit in. That’s just the kind of guy Trump is. Vance is on his own.

Mostly. He backed off because the Florida legislature convened a special session to choose a slate of electors that were pledged to vote for Bush. This was before the SCOTUS decision. If he continued pushing for a recount and it turned out that he won but Florida's electoral votes were pledged to Bush anyway it would've been a serious fucking problem, so they just dropped it.

In retrospect it's a bit quaint but yes in 2000 they felt the need to preserve faith in democracy

Also means that people may experience a similar issue to the tariffs where they don't realize the pain is coming down the road, rather than immediately.

Like you have companies talking of planning price increases thanks to the tariffs or doing so under the cover of them, which I'd imagine they'd feel over Christmas as they see prices for things creeping up. Making things look worse for midterms, while you get some fresh pain brought up with the delayed medicaid cuts right in time for the '28 election.

Feels like a bunch of dominos getting setup to fall in place for Democrat wins.
