I've seen the reports that say trump plans to "wean off FEMA" . Isn't that retarded though? In the cases of natural disasters, an apparatus like that is whats best for cooperation with state governments.
Seems like a pretty stupid thing to do, same as cutting jobs at NOAA.
These two new court jesters are boring. Where is Fatpacks to save the thread?
Do not summon even more retards please
Elon Musk, who used the first half of the year to kick out his competition from the Federal government and gutted the agency investigating him before putting his own employees in their place, is really down bad right now. Trump is no way going to get rid of those because Musk helped him stay out of jail.

"Trump threatened to pull Musk's contracts" Trump also "threatened" Putin with aid for Ukraine and "threatened" Israel with cutting off aid and we see how that's gone. All words no action.

It's such naked pillaging of our government and taxes and you guys don't care anymore because he "left" the government.
I thought i told you to find a bridge?

The standard ought to be if your company is proven to employ one illegal, than you have to cough up half your yearly profit for the next five years.
That or the total sum (including the employment tax) of the wages you would have paid an American worker for the entire duration of employment of the illegal. The "loss" to the employer is being forced to pay a fair wage back to the state and still having to pay for the slave labor on top of it. Make slavery more expensive than traditional labor and it goes away.

FEMA is a disaster. Destroying it and building something different to replace it is likely an easier/cheaper option at this point than trying to rehabilitate it. It's far too infested with lazy, well-entrenched employees and culture to salvage.

You're a bad poster.

The fact you didn't rebuke that
You have a track record of moving the goalposts when proven wrong and retarded. Why are you asking your fellow Kiwifarmers to engage with you in good faith, when you won’t extend the same courtesy to others?

Oh, and the term is ‘rebut’, not ‘rebuke’. Dictionary.com is only a few clicks away.

it doesn't have any meaningful effect
That’s an assumption you’re presenting, without evidence, because you’re still trying to move the focus of the discussion away from your amazingly fuck-stupid initial claim.

if a technicality that doesn't help either of us aside from you getting your rocks off for a moment is satisfactory enough
Aaaaand now you’re trying to minimize your being proven wrong by dismissing your humiliating exposure as a ‘technicality’.

You should seriously consider just slinking off like the beaten cur you are, libtard. Even HHH was smart enough to back off this discussion when he saw he’d fucked up.

Sure, but whats the plan to replace it? Because i have a feeling that Trump has no actual plan here.Reminds me of when he wanted to remove Obamacare, when asked what HIS plan was for replacing it, he just rambled about how "other plans would be there".FEMA might have retards working it, but it still serves a function as of now.

The concept is good. The implementation was terrible. There's nothing wrong with spinning up a new department with new staff and leadership and giving it the same mandate. "Here, those idiots fucked it up. You guys try now."

One interesting @Fatpacks fact is that they never have posted in the TES (Trump Enslavement Syndrome) thread despite all of their doom prophecies relating to the Trump administration. They almost seem to exclusively post here.
That's because Fatpacks knows a good time when he sees it.

He wants to keep the money and give it directly to states so they can organize their own response like Florida has been doing.

Why is Vivek wearing the Texas flag? Isn't he supposed to be an Ohioan?

You know he would rather be a Texas representative than a Governor of Ohio. Vivek yearns for the national spotlight and to take place in televised congressional grandstanding. In comparison, the only States he would get similar national attention from by winning Governorship are California, Florida, Texas, and New York. Most governors don't spend get to spend a lot of time in front of the camera, which is obvious from the primary debates and his social media where Vivek wants to be.

FEMA, if done correctly, would be worth keeping. But FEMA has been run very poorly, is bound in huge amounts of red tape that mess up the state's parallel response because the federal government is constitutionally supreme, and has suffered from internal political rot to some degree. If it only makes things worse or doesn't augment the state response in comparison to just giving the resources to the state to use, then it's not worth having.

The country lasted a long time before anything like FEMA existed. It may not be the best solution to put everything under FEMA rather than array the federal and state governments' resources differently.

FEMA should have a mandate to return a specified portion of its funding to disaster victims, and if there aren’t enough disaster victims in a fiscal year to do this, that spending be used to invest in consumables, resources and infrastructure.

Other bloated and incompetent departments like CDC and NIAID can be folded into it to create a super-department designed to handle any disaster regardless of source and nature.

Imagine how much more effective the COVID response would have been if there’d been stockpiles of PPE and infection control equipment and a coordinated, apolitical, effective border control response.

Hm. Seems like cope...... What about the man power they provide though? And why the cuts to the NOAA?

Remains to be seen how effective that is i guess.

What to know about Fourth of July anti-Trump protest

"Free America" protest events planned for July 4

Anti-Trump organizers are hosting "Free America" rallies on Independence Day in the next round of mass protest across the country.
The big picture: This renewed batch of protests against the administration comes amid growing discontent with Trump's policies.
  • "Your freedom. Your people. Your rebellion," the Women's March website said.

Reactions: Gutless
What even would be Elon's policies? How would he handle foreign affairs, policing, schooling, healthcare, infrastructure, food production, industry, taxes, welfare and national security?

All this autism over EV tax credits getting jacked because electric vehicles can't compete with gasoline.
