They basically whine that "congress targeted only planned parenthood" and then later say "there's other organizations that are prohibited" also they make a strange technical case that planned parenthood state members aren't owned or controlled by PPFA. But also, their case is something like "non-prohibited PP members MIGHT be prohibited from getting funding"

They were so miffed by the Catholic Church's rigid theology and hierarchy (which admittedly does have problems) that they went to the other extreme and rejected most or all forms of theological expertise or connection to the apostolic church in favor of personal interpretation that often goes against God's true intent, in the process acting much like a rabbinical Jew in trying to cheat or play God.
