You know, I used to be intimidated about delving deeper into the pali-kike slapfight because I thought I would have to navigate millenia of complex geopolitical maneuvers, shifiting alliances, historical backgrounds etc. etc.

Imagine my surprise and relief that all that was merely secondary and the root cause can mainly be boiled down to this.

Oh I’m aware of that, but please refer to my point above. The issue at hand is a secular democracy that bans interfaith marriages within the state for religious reasons.
It's a fundamental tradeoff that was made at the founding of the State to get religious support for what was then a very socialist state. Interfaith marriages aren't banned, they're just not performed in Israel. It's why so many Israelis go to Cyprus to get married there, because those weddings are recognized and have the same legal recognition as those performed in Israel.
So these ‘religious courts’ oppose interfaith marriages, and the secular democracy does what? Is it to grovel before them and uphold their wishes?

When one of the non-halakhic millets in Israel makes a ruling regarding a Jew, is that ruling enforced? If so, by whom? Which of these millets is the one with enough power in this ‘secular democracy’ to ban interfaith marriages?
From my very brief research on the matter, interfaith disputes tend to be handled by secular courts, but I'm guessing those are rare since the religious courts don't really deal with lawsuits and handle more like family issues and interpretation of scripture. The bigger issue for the Halakhic courts is the dispute over whether Ashkenazi, Sephardi, or Mizrahi doctrines are applied.

Israel isn't a perfect society, there is actually a lot wrong there, but this idea of Jewish religious law dominating over other faiths as if it was a caliphate is untrue.

the whole idea that it's a "complex matter" was just put up by apolitical retards and media trained celebs who don't want to pick a side in case they lose fans.

Legalizes online Utah marriages, solving the issue and leaving concern trolls scrabbling for an argument
A secular society would need no such work-around and the existence of such a work-around only serves to highlight the power that religion holds over Israeli society that such a thing could be mandated and enforced at all, as well as the absurdity of your society's religious rules.

It's like that gigabrain meme that starts with "the civil war was fought over slavery", the middle frame lists all the various complex reasons why, and the end frame ends with "the civil war was fought over slavery"

Yeah, well, sometimes you post like a retarded faggot with AIDS but the rest of us have the good graces not to say anything about it.
Oh I guess my comment forced a human to intervene in the conversation, anyways you're a weirdo faggot and your larpy C.AI bullshit is autistic. Do everyone a favor and tell that ai to pour water on itself and you should an hero alongside it.

Sometimes you talk like an ai, like that one time you said "is that what you learned in commie school?"

"Why do we fight? To protect home and family, to preserve balance and bring harmony. Perhaps a better question is, what is worth fighting FOR?"

You’re technically correct- they’re not ‘banned’ or ‘illegal’, as much as they are ‘alegal’- they are simply not legally recognized by the state.
They must be performed under the auspices of the faith under which both participants belong in order to be regarded as valid and legal, and obviously that doesn’t happen if both participants belong to different faiths.
Thanks for the historical perspective, always good to know why things are the way they are.
