It ignores the external costs of mass migration anyways and the additional costs imposed onto literally everything. Costs of translators, social workers, extra teachers, insurance premiums, ER wait times, security measures. In the the UK there are 3,000 government workers alone tasked with dealing with cousin marriages. All of these are expensive, top-down measures dealing with the bottom quintile that have been imported into formerly high-trust countries.

At this point the Overton window needs to shift (and is shifting) from stopping illegal migration to remigration.
