He was a Dutch pornographer and entrepreneur, known for co-founding and publishing pornographic magazine Chick, founding and publishing
child pornography magazine Lolita.
He was raised on radical-left principles, was a teacher(!), and advocated for complete sexual freedom. He married and had 4 children, three of whom where daughters. (Did I mention he attacked women's shelters and posted their dox of where they're at?)
Lolita was first published circa 1970. Wilhelmus had ads in his CP mags that encouraged readers to provide
new child pornography images so as to ensure his magazine's survival. He was arrested for publishing Lolita in January 1971, but was released immediately after interrogation and was never prosecuted for publishing the magazine. Lolita reached issue 55 in 1984, and was eventually closed down by Dutch authorities in 1987,
this went on for 17 years since first being published.
In 1992, Wilhelmus was sentenced to four years' imprisonment for having sex with his then twelve-year-old daughter. He plead innocence, and even had his eldest daughter start a petition to free him, and although "
supposedly" the doctors found that the 12 year old still had her hymen intact therefore no sexual abuse was acted on, Wilhelmus was still imprisoned for it. He would later be released 2 years after arrest on good behavior, but drowned himself to death the night after release near a bridge after getting drunk.
This is all to say is that yes, the 70s, 60s, early to mid 1900s was fucking WILD compared to what we have in place now.
