I'm convinced the Epstein file would implicate Trump, a lot of politicians (uniparty with a lean Democrat) and Israel.
I don't think it implicates Trump at all. Perhaps if he were on as many flights as a certain other POTUS I would believe it, but I think Trump figured out exactly what kind of setup Epstein was running and quickly decided to stay far away from it. There are probably a lot of people that Trump considers friends, allies, or otherwise useful to him who would be implicated and not worth losing to take down a DNC that is already on the back foot and losing anyway. Why sacrifice your own pieces for no real gain and stir up all manner of other shit that creates outcomes no one can control, let alone predict?
I don't believe that every person who went to Epstein island was fucking underage girls or even knew it was happening. If you were running that kind of operation you'd want to have a lot of people (in particular famous ones) who went there, did nothing, saw nothing, and can honestly say as much to the press or other people. I think a lot of people who did end up having sex with underage girls did so unknowingly after being plied with alcohol and other drugs so that they could be set up and blackmailed.
Someone like Bill Gates gets invited out to hang out and party with other wealthy people and the first few times it's just that. Some time later, he's partying and former Miss Guatemala blows him under the table, but she's not underage and the worst he did is cheat on his wife. Eventually he comes back again and gets slipped something and set up with an underage girl and now he's caught. Sure there are certainly some that heard the rumors and sought Epstein out, but not everyone was like that and while they were just partying and having a good time they probably brought some of their other rich friends as well.
Of course Trump doesn't drink, doesn't do drugs. The only way you can trap someone like Trump is dangling it in front of him and hoping that he's stupid enough to take the bait. Someone like Trump that's in real estate and has to deal with people every day isn't going to be duped by something like that. If Trump wanted to bang hot women he wouldn't need someone like Epstein to facilitate it.
Too many other people are wrapped up in it though. Some of them are people that Trump wouldn't piss on if they were on fire, while others may be those he would not wished to see harmed in the fallout. It doesn't end there, though. Some of the people caught up in the Epstein scandal are no doubt part of other things which have nothing to do with Epstein, but which they might expose to save their own ass in some kind of deal. Perhaps in a hundred years when everyone involved has been dead and buried for decades the truth will come out, but no one wants to pull the threads on this when they don't and can't possibly know where it will end.
Anyone who may with all good intentions go into the investigation with the intent of revealing the truth may come to realize what doing so would actually cause to happen or how much chaos it would result in and decide not to. To some degree that kind of person isn't capable of getting anywhere close to the reins of power in the first place. Any honorable bastard that might find their way to them by some sheer accident and who chooses to act on principle above all else winds up like Ned Stark. Instead they keep it buried and console their conscious by saying that at least it's been shut down and isn't happening anymore.
We probably shouldn't be concerned with Epstein island. Instead we should be looking for its replacement. Like any other vice, arresting one pimp or pusher doesn't destroy the industry.
