I think for a combination of things. Their whole existence in Kuwait was based on loopholes on lies.

• They we're never legally married, as Murad (their witness) stated it was a Misyar marriage for a short amount of time.
• They were cohabitating at least part of the time (imo Salah was staying somewhere else sometimes, probably with family) which is illegal. They have to be legally married
• Fatso set herself up living there as a resident on a tourist visa with Salah's help.
• Salah wasn't working and living off of the Gunt (and still is). I could be wrong but I think foreign nationals need to be employed in some capacity.
