Former NHL enforcer Nick Tarnasky was involved in a "brutal" golf-course fight

(Daily Mail article, but there you go. Sharing mainly for the video of the fight which is hilarious)

Former NHL enforcer Nick Tarnasky was involved in a brutal golf-course fight where he punched a rival several times and pushed him into a lake last week.

The confrontation between Tarnasky and his friends and the rival group is already hated by the time the video starts, with the former Florida Panther appearing to be upset with how long the opposing group is taking to play.

Canadian police responded to report of an intoxicated person instigating fights at Alberta Springs Golf Resort in Red Deer, which appears to be the person taking exception with Tarnasky.

By the time police arrived, the person in question was gone, with no arrests or further investigation taking place, per TMZ the alleged drunk Canadian endured quite a lot before leaving the property.

In what could have been a scene out of the show 'Letterkenny' with several Canadians yelling at each other before fighting, Tarnasky and the rival jaw at each other for a minute before the former NHLer gets charged at.

The next time we see the duo fighting, Tarnasky has chucked his opponent into a lake just off the hole both groups wanted to play.

The unidentified rival golfer crawls out of the water to challenge Tarnasky to more of a fight, with his possibly also drunk friend trying to stop the exchange.

Tarnasky, 40, lands five solid punches to his rival's head and shoves him to the ground twice before he reportedly drunken golfer walks back up wanting to brawl more.

The final move of the fight then takes place with Tarnasky tossing the rival golfer several feet towards the water.

At that point, the rival golfer's friend intervenes and stops the brawl, appearing to get his friend back into a golf cart and drive away.

The former NHLer has not played in the league since 2010 and spent more time in the American Hockey League. In 486 AHL games, he has 881 penalty minutes.

Safe to say those fighting skills came in handy last Friday against an inferior opponent.

Thanks to @UsedUp for drawing my attention to this.

Admirable that he comes in for more each time.
Dude must be drunk or something., Dude was so rocked after the first 2-3 punches that he didn't really know what he was doing. No attempt to defend himself, just got up and literally walked into punches. What a dumbass.

This one?
Yeah, the videos wouldn't upload at first so I made a placeholder post and uploaded them one at a time.
Admirable that he comes in for more each time. Tarnasky must have held back quite a bit.
Eh, would be admirable if he were in the right. Like he was getting back up to protect his wife or stop some criminal or something. When you're just yelling incoherently at some person who wants you to stop holding up his golf game, it loses a bit of the heroism for me.

Anyway, thought it was funny enough to share the article. I'm pretty sure the guy could have hit harder if he wanted to. I particularly like how before it kicks off the little guy's friend is bigging up as being not someone you want to mess with.

It was more of a sarcastic admiration. Guy is fascinatingly retarded and the BANG BANG BANG administered by a former NHL enforcer probably won't increase his mental capacities anytime soon.

Why doesn't the dude fight back? Who the fucks let some asshole punch them and not retaliate?
Looked like he made a couple of attempts but got banged out too quick to actually put up much of a fight. Like 75% of people have never been for-serious punched in the face, and you can probably bump that up to 95% if that's happening in Canada.

He's too used to hockey fighting. Look at how he fights, he holds the guys shirt while throwing a punch but he doesn't rotate his torso at all so he doesn't generate any power at all. When you're on skates and on ice you're kinda forced to fight like that, but on land it just results in weak punches.
I don’t think he initially tries to hit him. He throws him into the pond, gives him a few punches, throws him across the green, and gets the fuck away from him. I don’t think he took it too seriously. Little guy decided to get physical.

Golfer must have had a pretty safe life to not realise the danger he was putting himself in by squaring up to a man that much bigger than him, three times no less, and simply just letting him grab and swing each time. He seems used to it not going that far, he's probably used to smaller/meaker/more sensible guys backing off after he shouts and chest thumps enough. He needed that beating.

Then again, alcohol. Remember kids: don't drink and fight.

^He said it best.^

I don't know who is dumber - little dude who got a ride into the lake or the journascum who wrote this article. How is this a brutal fight or a brawl? No blood, both participants walked away, only five or so punches thrown.

It's funny due to the one sided nature of it but pretty much any bar fight you'll see in your life will be more brutal than this.

I think the whole point of him yelling bang was to show how easily he could have destroyed the guy while giving him just enough of a love tap to make him wisen up, unfortunately he was too lost in the sauce even after he got tossed.

Exactly, the hockey guy was 100% pulling his punches. Otherwise he would have sent that midget to another dimension.
