9 hours of streaming "game development", just keeps highlighting random shit in his little notepad with occasionally changing some numbers here and there. The guy is completely buck broken by criticism and he still can't pretend he is making an effort. I literally think the total amount of work he has done in 9 hours is maybe 5 minutes of copy pasting.

Found this old Reddit comment. Its about maldy having a "special" Blizzard Account and direct access to his favourite thing to do, ban people. He probably worked at Blizzard when maldy was there. He was an actual dev at Blizzard.

I watched for like 2 minutes and he was just sitting there. He also kept glancing at what looked like either his chat, or his phone. Like he just sits there all fucking day.

Someone definitely had to have talked if he's going to be doing this. It would be stupid to go in and expose on a big nothing. So I imagine, he's got quite a bit of info already, and he's ahead of whatever mald is gonna do to try and damage control.

There's probably only employed and paid a token salary to indenture them to himself while sweetening an NDA they had to sign to not reveal how much of a tool he is, as people have done. I can believe he has hordes of paid jannies because all of his behaviour revolves around hiding the fact that he privately knows he's failed upwards. He doesn't work on his game because he probably know he can't finish it in a competent state that won't definitively expose him.
 
I'm sure it's been said before but Mald is living the life he's lived since at least Second Life and probably before. Sit at his computer chatting all day. That's 100% in his wheelhouse.

Now he gets paid to do it and up until this year it was going pretty well. He unironically has 20+ years of sitting at his computer 12+ hours a day talking to people experience.

Criticising his code is trendy right now, and the main message of these videos is that development is slow because he created an unmaintainable mess. Maldy is responding to this by saying that the code is not the reason, coding is actually the easy part. The real reason is writing, since it's so hard to authentically write maldy's characters. To me it seems like Mald is asking for a review of his writing. It's definitely not what he wants, but it's what he's asking for.

I find it so weird. Normally when you create such a story driven game, you should write the whole story first and plan everything.
Atleast I think that is the way. Movies do that too or am I wrong?

There's a clip somewhere in this thread where he talks about having something like 1500 lines of dialogue ready to go and that implementation is going to be easy. I don't think all the recent updates combined does it come anywhere close to that many lines added. Maldy always ready with the excuses.
