Men who get accused of rape almost NEVER live it down, even if proven innocent. There's just this stigma that comes with it. Most people assume a woman would never lie about something as serious as harassment or violation, but...in American society it can make for one handy way get back at an Ex. Just say he hit/raped you and cops won't question you any further than that because you're a woman.

Not that guys are totally innocent. We hold onto our Ex's nudes and post them around for blackmail.
