Also fewer his first term. Nobody ever actually checks these things. They just assume because FOX is saying he's doing great, and CNN/MSNBC/whatever are doing nothing but crying about deportations, that Trump is doing what he said he'd do. Another example of the media assisting Trump.

That is because historically Republicans have been the party of open borders. The floodgates were opened during Reagan, who granted them amnesty. Bill KKKlintoon worked to seal the borders shut with an initiative led by Barbara Jordan. Then under Dubya immigration was heavily subsidized with the faith based initiatives, paying religious charities to import immigrants. Then Obama stepped up deportations. Then during his second term there was a big push for amnesty led by guys like Eric Cantor and Marco Rubio called The Gang of Eight. Republicans like the cheap labor that will never think to unionize. The concept of Republicans being against illegal immigration is just a Trump thing and the numbers are proving that’s another lie.

Not quite. People want a secure border and for criminals to be deported, but they also are sympathetic to people here that aren't committing crime. It's sort of a "have your cake and eat it too" thing of wanting the illegals all deported, but not the nice ones that aren't bothering anyone.

It's why if you do want deportations you have to do it in a boring or nice way, so it doesn't come across as a huge disruption to people's lives or neighborhoods. Which goes completely against the current situation with ICE where they're trying to send in federal troops to march around on horses through parks just to intimidate people.

Trump really made Nick Adams ambassador to Malaysia? He made a lot of weirdos ambassadors this time like the mayor of Dearborn (???). Ambassadors like him are for all intents and purposes just ceremonial, he'll probably (hopefully) be in charge of organizing dinner parties.

Regardless, the thought of low IQ Twitter trolls becoming ambassadors honestly disturbs me. Not only that, nominating Nick Adams as an ambassador to Malaysia shows a complete lack of respect for Malaysia and its people. It's an insult, really. People like this should not have absolutely any effect on governance.
