Right now he's adjusting individual values (e.g. copy-pasting lines to change a 1 to a 5) across multiple lines in a massive .yaml file, by hand, at most one edit per minute because he's too busy talking to chat. If he were at all competent he could write a script to make updates like these.

This is his twitter; he doesn't look like someone too invested in Jason's community, and probably is just ignoring the whole drama. But it would be HILARIOUS if he calls out Jason about his code or the Smart Fridge.

Should I archive that video? Probably already is archived, but I don't know if we care enough to archive it.

I've known people like this that I know for a fucking fact are competent enough to just drum up a quick shell script to automate a repetitive task, but they do it manually because it takes up more time and makes it look like they're doing work while they effectively zone out while listening to podcasts or some shit. First time I've seen this behavior on a stream before though... he doesn't have a boss he needs to fool anymore, but I guess old habits die hard.

Jason at this point has morphed into something I've had a lot of navelgazing about - he's essentially, at this point, in a place where the PR maintaining his grift and facade is as much or more a full-time job as it would be merely doing the things he claims to be able to do. If you build a fake persona to skip the line, but end up doing as much or more work as it would merely earning those credentials anyways, how worth it is it, really?

It's the most Jason'esque "flex" possible. Mald wants you to think it's some sort of an engineering marvel, but what he doesn't mention is that the "smart fridge" isn's some calculator (if only because it has a 1080p display):


The fridge appears to be a "Samsung Family Hub". Since the video is relatively old (Feb 14, 2021) the exact model might not be listed anymore, but looking at something like this we can see that the specs would be more than enough to run ShartBound even if we assume the model it was ran on is a bit shittier (a > $4k fridge BTW):


Also, Jason liked to "bundle" an "it runs on an Android watch" with the whole fridge thing. As far as I can tell he never produced any proof of this, and the last mention I can find was on Nov 15, 2024. I wonder why.

It's just a different skillset. It's easy for him to boast and lie on the back of nepotism, but Jason is not gifted at logic and not willing to learn. I don't think he knows how to learn, actually, because everything he has tried to educate others on has been either basic meme knowledge or a complete mess of incorrect, incoherent babble. I would go so far as to say he's incapable of learning, due to his ego and as exhibited by continual lolcow behavior.
