For her birthday she is going to dye her hair purple and wear her suit and tie that she's allowed to wear because it's her day! She can't afford wigs so she's using dye. And that's OK!
Her dad must be telling her to stop dressing like a retard. It must be so embarassing when she walks out of his house looking like a dumpy butch with a special needs haircut.
Also, some nonnies pointed out that Vanitas' hair is more of a navy blue. I looked at a bunch of blue shades and to me it looks more like space cadet blue. But there are a number of other blues that are also good fits. But his hair certainly isn't murasaki desu. Maybe it depends on the lighting in the games she hasn't played anyway. I haven't played Birth By Sleep so I can't say for myself. But violet would be too light and too purple to me. This is definitely in the family of dark navy blue type colors.
Then again it doesn't matter what shade she chooses. She will still look nothing like her skinwalk. She sees an edgy teen boy and everyone else sees a dumpy fat lady in a cheap suit and bad haircut.

Her hair is too dark for purple to really show without lightening it first (she won't). Worst case is she gets purple dye on her face, ears, and hands that she can't get off completely making her look mildly more sped than normal.

These permanent dyes for dark hair lift much more than the typical semi or demi permanent dye, it basically does mildly bleach your hair as it processes. I think it touts 4 levels of lift, and her hair is not virgin hair so it's already been processed before. Best case scenario she's frying the fuck out of it and it will look a little purple in good lighting, but we all know Pixy isn't the "best" at anything.

Also note that she's still wearing Debbie's glasses. They are the wrong prescription for her but I guess she doesn't care.
