It just occurred to me that Jill doesn't refer to *any* of the kids by a nickname. Sheesh.

It's been a bumper month of Rodlet birthdays, with Baby Tim, Baby Naomi, and now, Sophia's.
Jill's second least favorite child after Tim turned ten the other day. Sohpia the Waif, due to her long term malnutrition and neglect, looks not a day older than her seven year old sister.
So does poor Sophia get one day a year where her mother pays attention to her? Lol, no. Baby JahNESSah threw a tantrum until she was allowed to "share" Sophia's birthday trip to get a manicure. Did Sophia at least get a nice big cheeseburger to herself on her birthday? Lol, no, she got a small cake shaped like a cheeseburger which she had to share with her army of siblings and Fat Dave.
Jill even forgot to say she loves Sophia in her birthday post, and tried to rectify the mistake in a Story once people pointed it out. Jill does not love Sohpia, and she got caught.
ETA: I didn't even notice at first, but bratty little Janessa is trying to shove Sohpia off the chair in the last photo - Sohpia was sitting for her manicure, and Janessa shoved right onto the same chair and immediately took up as much space as possible, so that Sohpia was left perching on a tiny corner of the chair as she's trying to sit still. And Jill thought it was adorable enough for a photo.

I fucking despise parents who force their children to share their birthdays with siblings. One fucking day a year should be each child's special day when they don't have to share anything. It's not "unfair to the other kids" in any way. People who give the other kids presents when it's one kid's birthday in particular should be sent to a special circle of Hell.
One. Fucking. Day. It's not too much to ask, no matter how many kids you have and no matter how entitled and spoiled the rest of them are.

this is so bleak. i feel bad for sophia probably the most out of all of the rodlets. in old photos she looked like the malnourished neglected ghost of a victorian child, at least she has some color in her face in these photos i guess.

Also notice that Sohpia is wearing her donated Mennonite dress again. It must be her best dress for her to wear it on her birthday, and so frequently since VBS.
If you had to guess which child in the photo is the birthday girl, I think everyone would choose Janessa: floofy party dress, flower crown. Sohpia gets a plain dress and baseball hat blank her dad printed that stupid logo on. It's not even her hat; it's Jill's. The only thing that's really hers is her plain dress, since Janessa is unlikely to demand it.

While I do think the Rodrigues snark subreddit is one of the only good subreddits (they actually understand the concept of not being a ween surprisingly) I kind of have problems with it.
Look I get it Janessa is spoiled, she's "bratty" but I think it's obvious to anyone that she acts up because she's mentally disabled. She's missing part of her brain due to issues prior to her birth. It just rubs me the wrong way when the minor Rod children get made fun of by redditors. I don't care if Nurie or the adult Rodlets are mocked--they're adults. But if you're going to complain about how the neglected, socially retarded kids behave complain about Jill neglecting them. Redditors act so weird when the kids act like kids and run around. Yeah it's probably annoying and rude in public but it's on Jill's awful parenting that they act like that they're kids they don't know any better.

It does bother me when any of the Rod kids are made fun of.
You hope maybe a couple will break free, but Redditors forget (or don't care) that the Rod life is all they KNOW. The kids don't know how to Google "how to break free from controlling parents".
Jill and Shrek have kept those kids so stunted and isolated, they don't have the curiosity to seek out other ways of life. They don't become smarter about the world once they turn 18 or get married and out of the house.
It takes years in some cases to break free of indoctrination their parents and religion brainwashed them with.
Tim is the only one who has put up some boundaries, and that's only because of Heidi and her family. Jill sure as hell won't let another Heidi into the family.

Exactly that's why the "Omg Renee is gonna leave and become a super woke lib!" Joke they make is so annoying.
Plus if Tim is happy being a dullard fundie man with a job who contributes to society that's fine. I know redditors hate nuance but he doesn't need to suddenly become super woke. All that matters is that him, Heidi and their child are happy and away from Jilldo.

Agree, its easy to judge when you are outside the situation. These kids are brainwashed. Reminds me of the one family i forgot the name of that protested funerals etc and some of the kids broke free. Was really eye opening hearing their experiences.

I wonder how disabled she actually is. She had a stroke in utero (surely in no way related to Jill drinking those MLM energy drinks that she wouldn't shut up about) but from what I've heard babies often recover really well from that sort of thing.
She'll never get evaluated though, so it shall remain a mystery.
