unwanted pregnancies are distinctly different when it’s your own body. In case you were wondering, that’s why. You can’t get preeclampsia or blood clots or life threatening conditions from knocking up someone else, only the pregnant woman can have that. I feel like this is common sense lol. Unwanted pregnancies are largely endemic to developing countries and contribute to decreased life expectancy for women, this is an international framework that MOST countries use.
not wanting to pay child support is not seen as the same as not wanting to carry a child in your own body in the eyes of the law, and it’s been that way for a pretty long time. no amount of sperging can change the fact that being pregnant is a separate class from just being a woman— assault of a pregnant woman has always carried a harsher sentence. there is no legal distinction between a man who is single and a man with a pregnant gf/wife/etc when it comes to discrimination and there never will be. This is why troons who try this angle aren’t taken seriously even by other TRAs.
birth control of any kind isn’t covered because sex itself as an activity is elective, whereas an unwanted pregnancy is not always the result of elective behavior and is not seen as such. natal care, reproductive care, and birth control for women are grouped together— why might that be? why isn’t viagra or operations for men available at these clinics? sit down and think this one through.

Have we really had a free press when they never state when they mislead people into thinking a woman committed a crime when in reality it was a troon that did it?
