She's been with him for years so she shouldn't really expect anything else from him. I don't really have sympathy for her at this point because she knows exactly what Dick is like and still chose to have a child with him. I think she is genuinely retarded and mentally ill, so congrats Dick, your son will be raised by a retarded mentally ill woman and will probably inherit her mental health problems (if I remember correctly she said she has BPD to JLH in those e-mails).

My ship of sympathy for "80s girl" sailed away a long time ago. I knew it was joever when she decided to shack up with him and let him walk all over her by engaging in "polyamory" with him.

Its more about JuJu at least pretending to have some class and dignity, but then again if he had either, he would have killed himself already.

Unfortunately according to statistics men who see their mother abused by their father are much more likely to also grow up to become abusers. You would think they would see their dad beat and berate their mom and vow to become better and have sympathy for women and hate their pos dad but that does not usually happen. Instead they learn that it's ok to beat on women and treat them like trash and become a pos like their dad too. Look at Ethan Ralph for example.

Fathers teach their sons how to love women and their daughters how to be loved by men. That's a gross oversimplification as I left mothers out equation, but that's how I see my responsiblities as a man and a father as my wife is her own free bitch. I've seen people throw away decade long relationships because they refused to address the scars of their childhood and for one reason or another gave into the conditioning they grew up with. These were healthy, successful people with strong support systems who seemed to thrive in spite of the poverty and dysfunction of their childhood.

It didn't matter in the end, for whatever reason.

Not wrong, the father’s impact on the son is the planogram for life.

I’ve seen men in their late twenties and thirties still looking for surrogates. Now fathers being worthless, abusive, cold, unfeeling bastards is nothing new, because you usually find a suitable replacement in a teacher, coworker, boss, mentor etc. But in the post-socialization era, that’s harder to find.

The guy who’s dad failed is more likley to sink into his flawed foundation instead of getting a replacement or living and succeeding to spite dad
