Nobody will see a second of jail time out of this. If Trump was too much of a coward to lock up Hillary Clinton, there's no way he will lock up Obama. Bet on it.
The bigger question is why would he
want to. Obama's come a long way from when the DNC considered him Chicago Christ. The wall of silence he had erected around his presidency to assure him that his shit did not, in fact, stink has long since fallen to time, and lacking any other candidate with genuine charisma, the DNC has gone to tap from his well over and over and over again, utterly sucking dry what little credibility and likeability he once had.
Out in the open using him unintentionally as an advertisement for the Repubs is the perfect spot for him.
His legacy is now completely obliterated, and there's honestly few presidents who deserve that more. I know Gehenna would have loved this outcome; Obama's entire
raison d'etre was to come across as the man who fixed everything for the Dems, but his presidency ultimately turned into the harbinger of the end times for the establishment Democrats, something I doubt anyone would have foreseen back when he got in: It was his absolutely bodying Hillary in the primaries that led to Hillary's supporterbase throwing a shitfit and threatening to broker the convention if she wasn't given concessions; they gave her the DNC and she turned it into her own personal agency so she would never get Obama'd again, only to get absolutely scorched by the crazy orange diamond in 2016. The current leadership crisis the dems have is almost entirely due to the uber-progressives Hillary brought in to kick out the DNC regs that wouldn't kiss her ass, which in turn opened the gates for the DSA types to destroy their numbers.
Now, Obama's all they got, and he's gettin' up in his years. I would almost feel bad for the guy, but then I remember getting dicked by the ACA for six or seven years.
