My understanding is he should have gone to a sheriff's office to report it and get a prosecutor on-board. I'm wonder why this has yet to be done. Maybe I'm missing something in the process.
Good post. It outlined all the complexities with the HRO palooza.
As for Aaron's non-reporting of each incident, here's what I think happened based on his words and reading between the lines:
He reported the hacking - he was very open about doing so. He said Stearns LEO took it seriously. As you said, that likely improves his chances with his HRO case against both Nick and Melton.
My
impression is that his lawyer (then Todd Peterson) told him to start documenting everything. I believe Aaron joined the Farms shortly after that (I need to fact-check that). I have to believe he's still here lurking.
My point: he was documenting but not reporting because he hadn't filed the HRO (bad move). We know from Nick
and Aaron that MN LEO asks HRO "victims" to report everything in a timely manner. So, he has all the evidence but not the offical reports. Since filing the HRO, we know he very publicly said that he'd be reporting Melton's stream sniping.
Onto court...
What's frustrating about all of this is that it will be a rare battle of legal prowess, and I have no confidence in either lawyer.
If Aaron's lawyer can concisely and clearly outline the disproportionate amount of harassment Aaron has received, Aaron wins. (Side note, I disagree with those who say he should state they were gay lovers. I think he should say Nick WANTED to fuck him and he always declined. This would explain Nick's animosity and it keeps Aaron's hetero rep - jokes aside - in tact.)
If White can effectively muddy the waters by saying Aaron participated in the same harassing activity (calling Melton a pedo, KC appearance,
making a video for Hackamana ffs) Nick and/or Melton wins.
