Anyway, about Anisa's pie: what gets me is how it looks like something a child might make under the direction of a parent, yet it was apparently made by a 32 year old woman, who then felt that it was worth photographing and posting on the internet for the world to see. Pastry isn't the easiest thing in the world to get right in terms of texture, but any fool can make a pie that looks reasonable, all it takes is a bit of care, and it just goes to show how fucking lazy she is. I don't know how she can't feel compelled to at least try to smooth out the lumps and fill in all the holes around the edge. Absolutely shameful display.

She tries to wing the recipes, when baking is more of a science than anything so recipes are kind of a must, but the biggest thing is how unpresentable her baking is. It's always obvious details that could be easily fixed, but she just doesn't. She just thinks she shouldn't have to follow a recipe and she shouldn't have to even out the crust. The fact that SHE made it should be enough.

Fun fact: dirty people cause so much property damage. when I rented my first apartment, my neighbors had a few pets in a one bedroom apartment and they barely cleaned ANYTHING. When they moved out, the property manager had to spend 4 MONTHS replacing all of the drywall, subfloor, flooring, counters, kitchen appliances, and even the TOILET.

It looks like fluff that their dogs ripped out of their toys. Usually you pick up the potential choking hazard when they do that but I guess they can’t be bothered.

I think she tries to make gluten-free stuff, which just adds to the disaster, because gluten-free baking requires a whole extra set of skills. But also, I think she does all this baking stuff because she think baking is the most trad-looking form of cooking, and she wants to convince the world that she's a good wife. Trad wife = good wife. I imagine sometimes sure, but with how often they post about going to diners, I kind of doubt it. Someone with celiac shouldn't really dine out especially at places like that where the chances of cross contamination are so high. Kind of messed up she's doing that

If she had half a brain, she'd learn general cooking skills so they'd never have to go to shitty diners that she for some reason romanticizes. Make things that actually cater to his dietary needs. But she's stupid and puts almost no effort into her superficial endeavors.
