The counter would be that if a point is true, it’s true no matter what rhetoric is used.I can't really find an argument against this. If you are advocating for a cause, it's generally best to stick to professional language. Maybe it's pandering. But Null usually writes in that sort of moody, antagonistic tone. He may not have even thought of it when writing it.
Both are arguably correct, it’s a debate that’s been going on since Plato/Socrates and Aristotle. (The former two not loving rhetoric since they viewed is as the tool of sophists, the latter saying “hold on guys, we need to convince people here.”)
But this isn’t deep thoughts, it’s a thread for sticking it to the bankers, so it’s irrelevant.
