Nick is that guy everyone knew in in college. Everyone knows at least one and has stories. It’s amazing to see him revert back right into it no longer trying to hide who he really is except to seethe in anger when people point out his lifestyle. Clean up the crack den, take a shower, and put on fresh clothes Rekieta maybe April will come back!

It's been discussed in other threads, but the zoo thing is a non-starter. That zoo is in the twin cities, which is about 2 hours away from Nick's house. There's not some grand conspiracy focused around Nick from a zoo 2 hours away.

If there is some other connection to the Spicer/ Willmar area, it's just a coincidence, because they all would have money and coincidentally give some to the only zoo of note in the state. If there's actually a local conspiracy, this stuff would be happening in the Kiwanis or the Lions club or the Masons or maybe even the VFW hall, not at a once in a year event several hours away.

For that matter, I don't know if Bob and Celeste even reap the benefits of it, as I know Nick and Kayla have gone several times to a gala there, perhaps in Bob and Celeste's stead.

I get the hilarity of the zoo-luminati, but it's just not a thing.

Edit to add: and for the record, Bob and Celeste travel a lot and are in Florida too much, for Nick's good luck to be a social pressure thing in the area. No one has found significant local (to Kandiyohi) donations from that terrible twosome.

It depends on who he killed. If it was one of the "Scandinavian prudes" he's always sneering at, he'd get a slap on the wrist. But if it was a Somalian, they'd probably give him life in prison.

Sadly I don't think there's any chance that him refusing to pay fines troubles him somehow.

If they don't do anything to make him pay besides asking nicely sometimes, there's no reason for him to pay.

It's true, but I still consider him not a lawyer as I don't care about the technicality, he cannot practice law, and if he tries to renew his license he'll probably lose it again, which is the entire reason he isn't renewing it.
