Countless other selfies of him wearing a masonic baseball cap were one thing, but what is the deal with bragging about it at the entry to a professional office, and then posting selfies of that on social media over and over again? At best it's fucking cringe, at worst it almost smacks of an advertisement, either
(1) signaling to prospective clients who are members of the gay little club that they're among friends who can be trusted with those clients' secrets, and/or
(2) insinuating to gullible clients outside the gay little club that their lawyer may have backroom connections that could land them a marginally better deal (even though they don't).
If #1 was the idea, it's inconclusive whether that would be of any value to this particular client and it's likely just a coincidence. Nick has claimed on stream before that Freemasonry
"probably" was "not gonna be something that happens around here" for the sole reason that he was "raised Catholic" and the Vatican has prohibited membership, but that cope is ridiculous considering that he's been going to Protestant churches ever since moving closer to Kayla's family, and considering that he later drifted even further to full-blown heresy about Jesus Christ being just another sinner, polyamory being great because King David did it, etc. Even so, Nick just never seemed like "a joiner" type of guy, or even an especially social person locally, so this gay little club probably wouldn't have been his cup of tea. Plus even if he did get talked into joining just for the drinking opportunities or swinging opportunities or the like, he would have denied it anyway, whether sarcastically or not:
