This stuff was around when I was a kid but they stopped making it.

I’m a sucker for a good apple flavored soda and this was one of the best. Shame there’s so few good apple sodas out there. That Beetlejuice one Fanta did last year was fucking vile.

That's a name I haven't heard in a long time. They were popular, sold in every gas station. I haven't seen them in a very long time. When I was a teenager, four thousand years ago, me and my buddies would use the tins those mints came in to trade weed and pills. Perfect transport mechanism back then. I got searched by an authority figure one time, and had some pills in with the mints and they didn't notice the illegal substances lol.

I loved the cinnamon kind. The sours were great and everyone had them for a while. Then, slowly, Altoids died out. I can't remember when, the date, even the realization they weren't at the gas stations anymore. They died a quiet death that I only think about now upon looking back.

Anyways, I have a half-remembered, maybe dream, of the Andy Capp brand (you know "Hot Fries") having "Salsa Fries". It would have been in the early 90's. I remember eating them and they were the best snack I had ever eaten at the time. They are discontinued now, but you can still order some online? The packaging is different though, there's no way they are the same Salsa Fries I remember getting my parents to buy at the store. There's no way they are the same Salsa Fries I ate when playing DOOM (1994) for the first time.

I apologize for having you read my ramblings. In return:

YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD DAY TODAY

From a psychedelic-era Brim freeze-dried instant decaffeinated coffee commercial, circa 1970. Brim (“Fill it to the rim…with Brim!”) was manufactured by General Foods, which owned the Maxwell House line of coffee (“Good to the last drop!”). Discontinued in 1995, Brim returned as a line of mid-range coffee makers and grinders after the brand name was acquired by Sensio in 2014.

Spiras
And the old recipe for cadburys chocolate. When I’m empress I will be bringing that back, probably even before we kick all the illegals out but certainly in time for a nice cuppa and a spira after

There was a honeycomb flavoured not quite muesli bar in the early 2000s. It had the cheapest looking graphics, including a kangaroo mascot, and was only around for a few years. I can't even remember the name of them, but they were really, really good.
