South Park + Its Political Sperging (?) Thread - Season 26 ongoing!

Modern South Park has got to be the gayest most reddit shit imaginable.

>OMG THIS IZ JUST LIKE MY SADDAM SATAN YOU GUYZ

Get some original material you fucking faggots. This is the same shit you did back in season 21. You're unironically tainting the classic episodes by associating it with the modern sad, dopey, pathetic little abortion. I thought you guys made fun of this concept with that memberberries stuff in that tragedy against nature known as "season 20"
Yea, "Trump has a tiny dick and is orange peepeepoopoo Hitler!" Is cliche, trite, boring and at least a decade out of date.

People are unironically soyjacking over this, Jesus Christ there are no standards anymore, just slop.

I can not wait to see Trump's reaction to this, lol. Considering the fact that Paramount and Skydance are doing everything in their power to appease the orange man to get the merger approved, this is likely going to derail it hard.
I wonder if they do it in hoping to derail the deal?

They could have forced to work their brain cells for at least one Biden joke? Like sniffing the kids hairs like it give him some sort of power like Towelie?

Trey and Matt have never really gotten over their Season 20 finale blunder where they had to completely change the episode at the last minute because they were so certain Hilldawg would win the 2016 election and then proceeded for several years with 'yeah we stop doing Trump jokes because we did it all' and making each new season have episodes of them seething over Trump or its base, or in this case full on 1 hour specials. That ParQ special back in 2021 where they pushed the covid vaccine for those who didn't want to take it was probably the lowest they ever went in quality.
The ironic part is that for two individuals who dislike Family Guy, SP Season 1-4, and people who cling to memberberries, that all the jokes in this episode were jokes even Family Guy did with Trump in 2019 while conjuring hard with the memberberries by trying to capture the crude nature of 97-2000 era South Park when they were young adults in their 20s.
I still think SP can be funny, some of the jokes in the episode were humorous. But its clear that age has not been kind to either of them. The spunky cynical Gen X youth they had can't be replicated in their 50's and they're too petty to let go of their TDS along with the neverending "dude weed lmao" tegridy farms shit with Randy. Hell I wish they put more effort into the other fathers if they feel inclined to relate to the adults more then the kids. How about the return of Gerald's alter ego Skankhunt49. Should've made an episode that focused on that with the PC Principle joke.

Do you not know how South Park works? They create the episode the week before it airs. What’s hot off the press is CBS settling with Trump over a 60 minutes interview with Kamala Harris.

They wanted to hit on that, the capitulations to Trump from various institutions, the foux Christianity of the right wing, and Trump acting like a Middle Eastern tin pot dictator.

Why the hell would they put in a Biden joke? So Trump doesn’t sue them?

I could feel the Seethe from Matt and Trey in this episode, Satire doesn't work if what your satirizing makes you cope and mald from impotent rage.
As Norm said, you have to like someone to make proper satire. Trump himself on SNL and I think MadTV mocked his own tastes and appearance. Other comedians have commented that Trump can do a self-parody and that back during the days where he was an eccentric character going on Late Night that he knew how to sell himself.

If you want to mock him then mock his weird obsession with how they swapped out Biden, but that would highlight how the DNC does not actually practice democracy in their general election.

Honestly, just give me a whole season with Cartman and Butters
It's amazing how funny the show is when it actually focuses on its main characters and butters doing stupid shit instead of the usual stupid shit. Edit: After watching the episode, I can safely say I do not give a shit. I skipped past the Trump bits but it was funny when the angry mob raided Garrison's house because I saw that shit decades ago when it was Saddam instead. I feel like even people who don't like trump would be annoyed about it because it's nothing new, but I know better. Those people will take what they can get.

Parker and Stone kinda low key surprised me.

With all the shitlib shows and progressive sneerathons being canceled left and right I thought the public's appetite for "haha Blumpf is bad and orange and has tiny bad orange peepeepoopoo hands and also a tiny orange dick haha!" Jokes was on its way out but they just got paid a literal billion dollars for just that.

They've gotta end the show, this is just embarrassing.
I turned it off within the first few minutes because Cartman being mad about NPR getting cancelled doesn't work. Just go to any website, and you'll find multiple NPRs. It's small, but it just goes to show how stuck in the past these people are. The future is now, old man.

Also, imagine actually sympathizing with journos, or Colbert, and trying to make people feel for them.

You just gotta mock... his speech, and, his 👌 mannerisms. 👌 Yes, and his mannerisms... That he writes... like any other Boomer, Caps and All. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Pretty much the funny bits, thought for a moment they might recreate the "I can change" song and dance that Saddam did but with Trump, but I guess actually doing anything with the saddam connection they made is too much effort. I did enjoy Power Christian Principal though.

Imagine being such a lolcow President that the creators who were going to tone down the jokes about you decide to open the first season with you in it.

I am disappointed they went back on their word but I like that Trump is so absurd they had to. I wonder if he'll bite and open a lolsuit, I doubt it though.

Lets hope that his won't be just a wokefest like The Boys and actually have some nuance while making fun of Trump.
Mr. Garrison 2016 arc and this episode scream otherwise but I gotta say with Trump's blunders it's deserved. I just miss the old South Park where the kids did crazy shit and fun creative and simple stuff like building a ladder to Heaven.

There's no chance of that because they are big mad about him. It's been said many times, but you can't make fun of someone you're angry at. It's just going to be seething.

Huge missed opportunity.

I feel like this was their petty way of trying to fuck over Paramount rather than just Trump sperging after seeing how Colbert ended, they were given like 1.5 billion in budget and decided to rewrite and open the first episode with the very thing that can potentially have Trump kill Paramount which would be very funny if it happens because of South Park. Now South Park Studios is at risk if Paramount is pissed even if this episode is a high rating.

Sadly, they only got acknowledged by the white house as a fourth rate show. So the real comedy is at Trey and Matt.

New episode is here

Honestly kinda liked it, bit heavyhanded but glad they cut back on some of the adherence to continuity and melodrama so far which was my issue with the show for the past few seasons

Also guess Trump is just Saddam Hussein, honestly kinda wanted Saddam back in the show so them just making another world leader the exact same as Saddam than doing an impression of them is probably funnier than doing what the Simpsons and Family Guy did
I find it hard to believe this is real. None of the jokes about trump are very well written and are just verbatim retelling of the kind of shit you'd see on reddit. The jokes are anti-wokeness is racism, Trump has a small dick(Maybe true, but it's not very orginal) and Trump has turned America in a Christian nationalist state. The whole interview about things going in the oppsite direction is absurd. Wokeness still has a shit ton of power; christian nationalism has none and will never, it's like this episode came from a bizzaro dimension.

That right there is the problem. When you watch a comedy you want it to be funny, but no one wants to hear constant bitching and complaining. I doubt they're even gonna make fun of the fact he won't release the Epstein files and instead make small pp redditor jokes.
